We lived on this crazy council estate where no other students would live - everyone there seemed mental. It was some strange genetic testing zone by the city council or something. He seemed like one of the many oddballs we had to get the bus with, but nothing on Swany. This old man that dressed up with a high vis jacket everyday and a walking stick with swans carved into it. He always offered us to go alone to his house to look at pictures of swans, and taught us tricks for scaring away swans - wave a plastic bag at it was the best apparently, and he should know, his job for many years was scaring swans for the council apparently.

What is special about Somerset? I hear it has rolling hills, can be flood-prone and Long John Silver came from there.

Cider, beautiful landscapes that a lot of people don't bother going to, nice accents, lovely people, untouched beaches in parts and beautiful moors and woods in others.

You have to be wary of council estates which were built after the war when they were all fired up with the idea of "Social Engineering".

My council LOVES Social Engineering even though they use different words to describe it.
