Presumably the family wanted to get the funeral out of the way first. They didn't say what they did with his remains. If he was cremated maybe they took him home to Australia. I wonder what the queen did with his portrait of her.

They have garage sales in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. They're not advertised in advance but if you're lucky you get to hear about them on the coconut wireless. I picked up a set of six sporks given by the Emperor of China. They're made from laminated plastic but from a distance it looks just like stainless steel.
