Absolute bullsh*t. And I'm going to call you out on that. Most of the executions were committed by the Salvadorean Military and death squads. You don't understand what is going on in "Hispanic countries". Democracy does not seem to take hold? It has definitely. In many countries. Take for example Costa Rica. And more recently Argentina, Chile, Brazil... which have ushered in a recent period of strong democratic tradition.
The US was responsible for the toppling of democratically elected leaders, so it is the United States that did not want democracy to take hold in several countries. Chile had a strong tradition of democracy, and Allende was democratically elected... until the US saw him as a threat and wanted him removed by undemocratic means. But that isn't the first case of such happening.
United States occupation of Nicaragua - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - These are stories you don't know much about I presume.
Jacobo Árbenz - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Or regarding Jacobo Arbenz, a democratically elected leader the United States ousted. He later allegedly died in a bathtub "accidentally" through drowning... which is complete BS.
