RPG's, anyone?

I was an RPG junkie back when I was growing up. I'd put at least 12 hours into a game each day during the summer. I use to burn through them pretty fast.

Now, I'm lucky if I can find any game that can hold my attention for more than couple hours of a time. I really wish I could play them like I use to.

Anyway, anything by Squaresoft ate up most of my time. I also love the Tales series.

they just released Chrono Trigger for DS! i'm asking for it for X-mas.

i also really liked Secert Of Mana and i like the Pokemon games. i got the new Dungeon Explorer one for the DS and it's pretty fun, i also have Diamond or something.

i haven't played a good RPG in a long time... i need to get one for Wii or Gamecube. any suggestions?

i really wish they'd make Bio Shock for the Wii.

Haven't met an RPG I didn't like.

Tales of series.
Final Fantasy.
Legend of Zelda.
Etc.

Tales of Symphonia is one of my all-time favorites. I've played through it at least fifty times.

I still play Okami for the visual aspect and the storyline.

Lost Odyssy is great. Although it does get rather tedious at times...

Devil May Cry... :luv2:

I currently play World of Warcraft on a roleplaying realm. I enjoy every second of it. :)

You can meet people of all ages and forge friendships.

Final fantasy 10 was my fav of the final fantasy series, and I've got most of them too. I also quite liked FF12, but I got stuck and lost intrest, but I'm hoping to play it again soon.

Fable was another good roleplaying game for the Xbox and PC, I've played the extended PC version and really like it.

Sonic Cronicles (I think its called) was good for the DS, I'm still playing it but lost my charger so cant continue.

And I know its sad, but I grew up on Pokemon, and still quite like to play them for the total game aspect, only as a game nothing more!

I usually just play RPGs, I just like long games that take time to explore.

One's I like:

Final Fantasy series
Breath of Fire series
Star Ocean trilogy
Xenogears/Xenosaga trilogy
Chrono Trigger/Cross
Kingdom Hearts series
Legend of Dragoon
Grandia series
Lunar series
Vagrant Story
Medievil

RPGs - Hahahahahaha - I was thinking -

I actually had to think for 2 seconds - Oh, Role Playing Games. Not Rocket Propelled Grenades.

Wow, sleep is not my friend. ;)

Alterier Isis?

Or Iris?

Whichever. I wanted to pick it up last week during black friday, but i know SO little about the game that i decided against it...

I'd have to actually pull my copy out to check the title.. weird title...

but yeah its got old school graphics and is pretty fun...

i give it..... 7.5 out of 10

and i am a tough critic...

ff7 only gets an 8.5

^I keep passing by it when I go to game stores and never pick it up against my better judgment. :(

Maybe when I go shopping next. :D

Not an RPG really, but I just beat Shadow of the Colossus...quite an ending. If I didn't think it'd be really tedious (though beautiful) I'd try to find a copy of Ico to play.

Shadow of the Collosus was amazing. I must go play that again soon...

And yes, Ico is beautiful as well.

I never got into Ico, probably to my detriment.

I love FFVIII, FFX, FFX-2 and Kingdom Hearts (I & II), but haven't played any of those in quite a long time.

I just put in about 150 hours in FFT Advance and I was pretty disappointed with the overall experience and the ending...Marche is such a whiner!

I just started playing FFXII a few weeks ago. I love the battle system, but the story is quite boring so far.

Odin Sphere was absolutely GORGEOUS and I liked how all the stories connected with one another. Major graphical slowdown on some battles, though...

Okami is next on my list of games to play.

I played FFTA after I played FFT (Now called War of the Lions for the GBA port) and FFTA was fun, but no here near as epic or engaging as FFT. I would definitely find an original copy of the FFT for PSX or get the port. That's a substantially far better tactical RPG from the Final Fantasy line.

I actually have FFT on PS. I've poured many hours into that little gem.

The main thing that made me want to play Advance was the turn-based combat in FFT. While I think combat was the best part of Advance, I truly despised the law system. The jadgs were my sweet release. lol

I agree completely. What exactly is the difference between a staff and a stave?! Why am I getting carded for it?

I used to play them when I was younger. These days I don't play video games as often as I used to.

I liked Chrono Trigger, Mario RPG, and the Suikoden series.

Shining Force for the SEGA systems was awesome too. It was more strategy but with RPG elements. Wow, I miss those days.

Right? It's ok to use blades, but not katanas? Is there really a difference?

I had one battle where summoning was forbidden by one law and recommended with the next one! I was like, "What the hell am I supposed to do with this?!?!" lol

I've heard great things about CT and Suikoden but I've never gotten around to playing either of those...

Yeah the storyline and just everything about Crono Trigger was pretty awesome.

There was a remake version for PS1 which was basically the same game redone with better graphics and some little added bonuses but it's pretty much impossible to find.

My favorite part of the game is actually the same area you're speaking of. It's the era from where Magus is from, Zeal. Magus's backstory is pretty awesome. I really liked how you could do combo attacks in that game, like double spells, and triple team attacks. The game is just so good it's fuckable as far as RPGs go.

Mario RPG was also really cool but nowhere near as deep as CT.
