RPG's, anyone?

I think you can still find the CT port for PSX. It was released under the name of "Final Fantasy Chronicles" along with FF IV (which never made sense to me).

Apparently it was good enough to be re-released as "Greatest Hits."

I just thought it was silly because CT on its own would have sold well and why not release III and IV together like V and VI?

Whenever I hear that music, it sends shivers down my spine. You get this sense of something so epic...God, what a great game.

Huge fan of role-playing games in general. Personal favourites include:

- System Shock 2 (scariest game ever)
- Deus Ex
- Final Fantasy VII, VIII and X (was disappointed by FF XII; very impressive technically, but I genuinely couldn;t give a stuff about any of the characters involved).
- Chrono Trigger (would kill to see a modern sequel to this)
- The Baldurs Gate saga (Baldurs Gate II is quite possibly one of the best games I've ever played).
- Bio Shock (beautiful; a prime example of video game art).

I am not sure if anyone else posted a response to this, as I haven't read that far down in the thread, but they did make a sequel to Chrono Trigger. It was called Chrono Cross and it came out for Playstation. It was amazing and still ranks as one of my favorite RPGs of all time. The story was just incredible.

How did I miss that?

Yeah, Chrono Cross was the "sequel" to Chrono Trigger made in the 2000's...I'm goign to guess and say...2002?

Anyway, it's fun and really beautiful. Great soundtrack, too.

But I don't consider it a direct sequel...It's more of "in the land of" and pertaining to some characters very vaguely. But it's still a lot of fun and reminiscent of CT. Play it and play it hard.

Actually, I believe that was a fan-made project in which people were trying to make a 3-D remake of CT, but Squaresoft stopped them in their tracks with copyright laws. So the project got halted. Kind of sucks, though :/ It looks like it could have been fun.

Final Fantasy X/XII & Kingdom Hearts I & II OWN MY LIFE! lol Okami was another great one.

I loved chrono trigger and final fantasy x but, lately I have found Japanese role playing games to be boring and prefer rpgs like mass effect or Oblivion. I want to play either fable 2 or fallout 3 but, haven't yet.

I have never played Chrono Trigger, and the only final fantasy I've played is Crystal Chronicles on Gamecube. The Legend Of Zelda is, and will always be, my favourite game of all time - unless of course a better game comes out, I'm looking forward to the new Kid Icarus game that is rumoured to come out.

i got Secret Of Mana for the Wii last month and it's been really great to play it again. i remember playing it with my best friend in high school. i just saved Santa Claus, which is pretty much all i need to say about how awesome the game still is.

I'm pretty sure the last remnant is both PS3 and 360.

What's secret of mana? Is it on the virtual console?
