Rupaul's Drag Race Season 5

Watched untucked episode 4 of season 5 this evening. I've seen every episode of every season & season 5 has not disappointed me.

Usually by episode 4, I would already have a favorite queen but I still don't have a favorite season 5 queen yet. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........I wonder why.

i like this season because so far the challenges have been fun, the judges' decision havent been too nutty, and the contestants are entertaining. however, i agree that there havent been any break-out stars this season. i guess jinkx and detox come closest.

It's so funny that Ru decided to get rid of them both,because while they were up there lip synching...I was thinking: she needs to send both of their asses home.

I was very glad that Ru sent them both packing - they both were boring as fucking hell, they both lip-sync like shit, they both played the background, and if I ever saw those two down here perform like that and dress like fish and disco fish, they would not get a dollar of my money. Besides that, Honey Mahogany reminds me WAY too much of Milan from last season, and I didn't really care for her at all.

I agree with hylas though - the challenges this year have been very fun, a big improvement over last year where it seemed at times they were phoning it in. Just wish the queens were as memorable.

ok, it took a while, but jinkx is defnitely my favourite now. a deserved win... and shut up, michelle visage; you cant judge anybody while wearing that ugly ass cardigan!

coco/alyssa/jade: ugh ugh ugh

ivy: i liked her runway look, but i have to admit, shes the blandest one left. probably the next to go. but, dear ivy, if i give you my number, will you call me?

rolaskatox: like always, good but not great. i liked roxxys hair on the runway.

lynesha: she cut her hair, didnt she? anyway, probably the first truly talented queen to go home. i have to admit, i never quite "connect" with the puerto rican queens, and she was no exception.

I finally have a favorite and it's Jynx. Took a bit but I got there. I'm very over all this Alyssa/CoCo nonsense but I have to say it really seems like CoCo is typically the one stoking the fires although she seems like the person I'd typically like more out of the two.

this was a really bad week for coco.
first, she brags about not knowing who little edie is. bitch, youre a drag queen pushing 40(?). shame on you!
then she gives a total non-performance as janet jackson, although she is a professional janet jackson impersonator. how embarassing.
her runway look was crap, too. it was pure minaj, but with the details all wrong. minaj would never wear that jewlery with that wig and that catsuit. you either replicate it faithfully, or you interpret it in some interesting way... she fell uncomfortably between either of these options.

I guess I'm old school but this is the ugliest bunch of drag queens, save a few, I've ever seen. I just guess camp drag was never my thing really. I can really appreciate someone that can give the total realistic allusion of being a woman. I don't personally understand it but I can appreciate it.

The only few that could possibly do that are Ivy Winters and the Roxy kid and maybe the Asian guy. If they changed everything they do. The rest of them are just camp drag gals and not very entertaining.

Last night was a lose/lose for me because I love both Detox and Lineysha. Mostly because Lineysha was just so damn unintentionally funny. But I'ma miss ha tho.

Roxxxy established herself as my favorite last night, because that Tamar Braxton impersonation... she DID THAT! Yas.

It was time for Linesha to go. She was very fishy, but otherwise pretty boring. With that said, I thought her lip sync was a bit tighter than Detox's, although Detox was more entertaining.

Ivy really disappointed me. Her Marilyn was boring and I couldn't believe she didn't get that president line.

Roxxy is still the frontrunner for me, but I think Detox is strong too.

I really loved the Alyssa, Coco, and Jade drama on Untucked. I hope they can bring some of that energy to the runway because there are times when I'm a bit bored by all three of them.

Jinkx is fun, but I would like to see stronger glam, so we know she's well-rounded.

Overall, I'm enjoying this season, but it's not my favorite.

Jinxx was amazing...and theese queens should be ashamed of not knowing about little edie but im sure they know all the lyrics to kesha horrrrrrible.......The way these queens are judgeing her is horrible...reminds me of when Raja was there...

I thought Detox was horrible agian...her Kesha was so fucking boring ( i really didten see a big transformation from her to detox) and the runway look was the same siluette as ladt week just two layered this time and still it looked like shit .. Also I think she is one trick pony once all she can do perfomance wise is the jaw thing

I really liked Alaska's Lady bunny..spot on I think her & jinxx are the only two who have the quickness and humor that it takes...the rest of the queens are just looks

Glad everyone sees what I see in Jynx. She didn't grow on me until the second episode. I think she's the only "sane" one in the competition. It feels like she's the first Queen to ever cry on the show and seem sincere about it that it makes me sad lol. I don't think her outfits are that bad, but I do agree that I want to see her "Glamazon" it up a bit, maybe take an outfit out Lynaeshas closet.

id do björk. as a german speaking asian, i think id get both the look and the accent right. plus, i was a rabid björk fan in my teens, so i know quite a lot about her. also, i think she has the potential to be really hilarious.

I think i'd die laughing if someone did it right.

As for this episode... eh. Look, I know Snatch Game is tradition, but i'm TIRED of seeing so many queens botch it. This was, however, the first season where a queen acted like she was ABOVE creating a character for it. Alyssa should be embarrassed.

Did not care for Detox's Jokerface lip-sync. Sorry, I felt that she should have gone home - silly, borderline awful outfit... lip-sync was weird to look at, but that's just it - weird.

I hope this season improves, because i'm very unimpressed with the talent this year - I think they were banking on the Coco/Alyssa feud to "steal the show", but I just think they're both being children about it.

Coco has been taking unprovoked jabs at Alyssa since day one so she deserves whatever she gets back. I'm not saying Alyssa isn't an instigator, but at least she doesn't act the helpless victim...So over it!

Ro laska tox is wearing thin as well. Stop trying to make fetch happen!

Jinkx is the one I have loved nonstop since I watched her in the meet the queens specials. I really hope she makes it to the finals. If you haven't seen it yet go to her website and watch The Vaudvillians. Hubby and I were dying!

im glad to see that im not the only one who thinks the same about this season, the talent pool has been really bland, and boring, and it seems like only about half of them are really trying.

jinkx is my favorite, and i feel she has a good chance to win if she ups the glamour a bit, she would be the first campy queen to win (although Sharon would fall into that category as well).

Coco cracks me up, especially when she fights with serena "ive been doing this since 1992, was you even born yet little boy".

the reading is at al all time high this season, some times untucked is better than the actual show lol.

coco: what a bitter bitch. and im surprised at how unprofessional she was, given her experience. i liked her runway look, but her make-up was not good, and showing her "heart" as her favourite body part was ridiculous. im sorry but her "heart" is possibly the ugliest part of her.

alyssa: she wins a point for wearing a triforce t-shirt, and another one for her video in untucked. that was some deep stuff.

detox: shes too complacent, and her plastic surgery creeps me the hell out. but i liked how she strategically paired up coco and alyssa, and her runway look was DYNAMITE.

ivy: good for her! i still dont think she really has it in her, but i also still really like her.

jade: it was clearly her time to go. i did like her blue wig.

jinkx: still my fave.

None of the queens in this season are in the same calibre as the past winners, but I'd love to see Jynx win, maybe she'll turn it up. Roxxxy would be a great contender, but I hate her attitude. She needs to quit reusing that same wig, too.

Thre best part of the show this week was seeing Anita and Ruth (The Pointer Sisters). I was thinking when I saw them judging how they used to dress back in 1972-75...alot like drag queens.
