Rupaul's Drag Race Season 5

I liked Jade for the drama, but honestly she should have stepped it up.

I'm glad Ivy did well and I love her creative outfits. She needs to make sure her verbal wit is strong and not like it was in Snatch Game.

Roxxxy is still doing great, IMO and should keep it up.

I felt bad for Alaska. I can certainly sympathize with how she felt when the judges ask her to show heart and she feels like her message isn't coming through. It's happened to many contestants on shows like this.

Alyssa is still bringing it and even though Coco and her are feuding and it can get old, I think she's one of the better queens this season.

Coco was good, not great for me this episode.

As for Detox, I'm starting to feel a little bored with her. Sometimes I love what she does, but sometimes I want to see more.

Somehow, when I'm recapping on who I like and don't like, I always forget Jinkx. I'm not sure why. She's being consistent, but I still want her to look a hair more polished.

Next episode looks like it could be fun. I'm looking forward to it.
 
why is that everytime there is an 80s theme allmost all of the girls have the most tackiest & cliche full outfits...for me there are some strong fierce looks from that era but it allways ends with neon colors,bows & tutu skirts

I have it with Detox OFFICIALLY as she would say....she is so fucking annoying and full of herself with nothing to back it up with....i wonder when all the plastic stuff why on earth didten she get her nose fixed.....

I felt bad for Alaska...you could see that when in sharon's season when alaska gave a video greeting you could already tell there that they have had some issues but I think Alaska is the smartest and quickest of them all if only she could pull her looks up alittle she could win the thing

im fine with elemination for Jade's outfit alone...giiiiirl
 
Ugh Roxy's mess felt very insincere especially on a week when she was complaining so much about Jinx being insecure
 
Yay to the Rolaskatox clique crumbling this week. I like Alaska better when she's focused on herself. Detox and Roxxxy are finally realizing they're not the cream of the crop. Ivy surprised me, I seriously thought she was going to fail miserably but she did a good job considering personality and humor isn't her strongest quality. She looked gorj as always.
 
another great episode!

obviously, roxxxys playing the game, but i think her pain and her tears were also real. its the combination of reality tv manipulation and sincerity that this show does so well, both the producers and the contestants. nobody here talks down to the audience. this is the smartest fucking reality tv show ever. i really felt for roxxxy, and rupauls voice cracking made me teary eyed. still dont particularly love roxxxy, though, who just seems a little too nasty.

not as nasty as coco, though. good for her for powering through the challenge, especially given how disastrous her previous comedy performance was. but hell, this bitch is just bitter and nasty. alyssa is no saint, but if i had to pick sides, id pick hers.

i honestly thought ivy would do better. shes not much of a performer, but shes smart, and that goes a long way in comedy.

jinkx and alaska did well. i think alaska should have won, and jinkx really brought it on the runway.

detox was a little forgettable this week, but i loved her hair.
 
I liked this episode. It was one of my favorites this season.

I'm really glad that Jinkx brought it with her look on the runway. I think she could be a contender for top 3, if not the crown.

For the first time, I was not thrilled with Roxxxy. Her looks aren't impressing me as much and she really bombed the challenge. But above and beyond all that, I was really not happy with the way she keeps making nasty remarks about Jinkx.

Detox was okay. I definitely wasn't a fan of her f-bombs.

Alyssa looked good, but definitely fell flat. I hope she can bounce back.

Alaska did great! I hope she can keep it going and make it until the end.

Coco did a good job, but I'm definitely hoping the feud becomes less of a focus the rest of the season.

Finally, Ivy did okay. I'm glad she wasn't up for elimination.

Overall, I really like this season and the show and I'm interested to see where things go.
 
Alyssa has been growing on me. I love her personality. I really do think she's sincerely joking around, but her jokes come across as shade. I laughed out so loud watching her laugh at her own jokes and her reactions to stuff are priceless.
 
my first impression of alyssa was that shes a hot mess. shes grown on me a little since, but i think its mostly that im so over coco, which makes alyssa look better by comparison.
 
Roxxy needs to leave.... my god..so tired of this bitch and then this shit with her being left at the busstop girl that was cheap points + her lipsync was really bad all she did was flippin the hair....

Also her dig at Jinxx in untucked when saying this was an unfair challenge girl please...in rupaul's drag race you should know that you have to be a jack of all trades..and you knew that there would be a comedy challenge

Ivy she is very creative but i dont care for her make up skills and dont really think she has that much of personallity.. her reading + the roast was really bad and for me a drag queen should be able to read a person pronto....


Detox< was bland....she can also go home and her constantly use of the f-word is not helping..

Alaska< i think this was really her day and i loved her but have to agree with michelle on her looks she needs to changed it up a little...she's been doing the same hairstyle and prom dressy thing for ages now

Jinxx< she was fun and good..dont really care for her dressing style but atleast she has a personal style

Coco< im actually beginning to like how she is leaving in a coco world withouth no feeling for the outside world haha

Allyssa< she is growing on me aswell and i loved how she is able just to laugh it of...

well, alyssa in drag looks alright when she poses like that... but most of the time shes making crazy faces. out of drag, well... ill just say shes a great dancer and leave it at that ^^
 
Some of these bitches need to step off. They're hoping to rest on pretty because they don't have any talent. Sorry, but this ISN'T a beauty pageant. This Drag Race, the one and only, and you can't hope to win just by being the prettiest. You have to have creativity, uniqueness, nerve AND talent.
 
Aww @ Ivy and Jynx. I think they're adorable together. I can't wait for the reunion to see how that panned out. And (fans self)... those underwear models, especially that latino with the tattoo, think he was number 6? I wonder if any of them did porn.

guest judge o'day was utterly useless during the shoot. she at least had some zingers during the runway show, but i almost fell off the chair when she critisized alyssa for her crazy face. the one person on this show whos making even crazier faces than alyssa was o'day herself!

anyway, jinkx is crushing on ivy. you and me both, jinkx, you and me both. i cant say im too sad to see her go, tho... im actually surprisd she made it this far. im assuming that she had some talent that just didnt translate that well across the screen, because she mostly just came across as nice but bland.

jinkx, alaska, and detox do well. i actually had to laugh during their commercials, and im somebody who rarely laughs at the telly. they seem to be the obvious top 3. but my fear is that the producers will boot one of them prematurely to guarantee villain coco a spot in the finals. they did it before, at least twice: in season 1, nina, bebe, and ongina would have been the obvious top 3, but ongina was booted to give villain rebecca a spot. again in season 4: sharon, chad, and latrice would have been the obvious top 3, but latrice was booted in favour of villain phiphi. i just pray theyre not gonna boot jinkx.

roxxy, coco, and alyssa are flailing. they are also the three contestants that dont come across so well in the personality department. roxxy is a mess, coco is bitter, and alyssa... well, i guess alyssa is alright, if a little dimwitted.

This was one of my favorite episodes, except for the fact that Ivy went home. I always liked her.

Roxxxy has been doing pretty poorly lately. I thought she was top 3 material, but I'm not so sure now. I didn't hate that outfit as much as some people did.

Jinkx did well and keeps getting better and better at her runway presentations.

Alaska rocked it and I'm glad she finally won. I'm hoping she makes top 3, but she's got to keep the upward momentum going.

I'm really not feeling Coco at all and she was awful to Jinkx on Untucked. I did think her commercial was good in a "so bad it's good" sort of way.

Alyssa's lip sync was strong, but other than that I wasn't impressed. She is funny though, generally in an unintentional way.

Detox's commercial made me laugh, as did Alaska's. I wasn't really feeling her runway look though.

Ivy was just okay and her lip sync wasn't nearly dynamic enough.

I think Detox will probably win it this year, but I would be fine with anyone except Coco win.
