While I would have liked Alaska to take home the crown, I'm fine with Jinkx winning. It was pretty clear this season that Ru was looking for a performer and not neccesarily someone who had killer runway looks. I like the fact that each of the winners has brought something different to the table, even if I wasn't thrilled with Tyra's season 2 win.

I would love a season with just big girls, but it doesn't look like that's happening next season.

so, yay! jinkx wins. i would say "to no ones surprise", but then i remember season 2. plus, it got real close between her and alaska at the end. to be honest, i thought alaska was more poised this episode. but still, the right person won.

roxxxy is on damage control, and of course its not half as fun as her full-on villainy, but i guess its understandable.

detox look was amazing. she out-sharoned sharon. too bad about her bitterness... rajas look was almost as good, but she was on screen for, what, 5 seconds?

jigglin' underwear models! the timing was unfortunate, though, clashing awkwardly with detox bitterness.

penny trations make-up was terrible. at least she got in a good read (albeit on an easy target). serena is still terrible, although her "acting" was cute. vivienne manages to not make me fall asleep, so thats a win for her. honey mahogany has had a style make-over, looking much better than before... but is still one of the most busted-looking queens on stage. coco's look was dreadful, too. the colours of her dress and wig made her look more sickly than sickening.

ivy wins miss congeniality. the more i think about this, the more sense it makes.

the "worst looks ever" montage was not nearly as entertaining as expected... but it was worth it just for jigglys hilariously disastrous "baked potatoes"-look

that "diva montage", tho. i dont know. i realize they had to keep the length manageable, but no grace jones? not to mention all the international divas: marlene dietrich, catherine deneuve, brigitte bardot, nina hagen, björk...

i read two underwhelmed reviews of the ep before i got to watch it (AV club & TLo), and i expected some kind of disaster. but this reunion ep was pretty fun, if you ask me, some off moments and a bit of dead air in its second half notwithstanding. particularly ru really made me laugh a couple of times ("do you think i would look good with make-up? no, really, i want to try it sometimes!" also, her spot-on imression of alyssa. also also: "if, for any reason, our queen in unable to perform her duties..."). and the whole season was pretty great. i love this show!

Did Roxxxy gain more weight or was it just that dreadful flat black wig on her? Her first look in that red bikini suit was fierce though, but she definitely is not a winner. I still think Phi Phi O'Hara tops the best villain of all seasons.

I thought Detox was hilarious. I liked that he poured some T on Santino and Michelle because it was absolutely true and needed to be said.

Why? I'm not even trying to be funny but for one it makes the cast less diverse, and two, they would never do a skinny girl only season and exclude big girls, so I don't know why it's okay to do the opposite.

Sidenote: Ru said Vivianne Pinay was the fishiest queen of any season? I think not.

I love Ru, but the fishiest queen of any season can't even pop that puzzy to Britney Spears? Bye Felicia.

Ru has always said "...but the decision is mine." She may take into account what the other "judges" say as well with the fan online voting...but only she makes the final decision. She's never pretended to be democratic with regards to her show.

Jinkx is a trained actor, so yeah, I'll agree that for the show she was "phake"...did play the victim. She played it when getting ganged up by the bullies tho, and she played it pretty well...all the way to the crown (so neener neener neener...)

Phakest queen of the season was Roxxy...especially when she burst into tears right before Ru was going to eliminate her and then got saved; played to the viewers via her facebook and tweets with apologies etc on how she was embarrassed for what she said about Jinkx; and mostly how she acted so sincere on stage during the finale that she loved Jinkx or whatever she was gushing on about. We know Roxxy is really a bitch, If you're going to be a nasty bitch, own it like Detox does. Detox made no apologies for it, and although I didn't like it, I respect her for being more true. She was obviously still bitter about it. I kind of enjoyed seeing it too, and don't blame her because it should have been her in F3...in Roxxy's place, and it really should have been between her and Jinkx for the win (still a Jinkx win tho.) Detox was probably the most polished queen this season.

jinkx' "crush" on ivy was the most obvious example of jinkx being reality-tv feisty, and not 100% as genuine as she may have seemed sometimes. or, as someone so delicately put it, "phake as phuck". me, im not bothered. its part of the game.

Although I understand it would kill diversity, it would show diversity in big girl drag and I think put the queens on more of a level playing field. Most of the time, IMO, it's harder for the big girls to pull off the stunning looks that the skinnier girls do because there are more ways, IMO, for the dresses and looks to be unflattering.

When I first saw Detox on the finale I thought, "Oh wow, they're giving her really bad lighting." And then came the fab realization.

But, and it's a big but, then I was just trying to figure out what exactly she was going for? Silver screen siren? Vampira? Vampy silver screen siren? Didn't know for sure... I settled on silver screen siren.

The beauty being that Detox's severity is such that it can probably always be Vampira.

She's brilliant!

I'm not getting all this "Detox is so bitter" stuff, seems so exaggerated. Was she annoyed that some of the younger/rookie Queens seemed to get more praise than the vets? Sure, but that doesn't mean she's "bitter"...just annoyed or frustrated. What does she have to be bitter about? Her act/band with Willam & Vicky Vox are doing way better than 90% of any of the Queens from all seasons.

yes, there is 100'000$ involved, but it's important to remember that it's all a game, if only for appearances sake. the audience came to be entertained, not to hear you complain.

btw i think she was going for "lady who walked out of a black and white photograph"... dont know if it was supposed to be more specific than that.

Fun fact: Finale producers taped three different crownings (one for each of the three). I suppose so as to avoid witness online blabbing!

That's according to a friend of mine who was at the finale taping. (I yelled at him for not inviting me.)
