saddest song you ever heard?

Toto - "99"

99
I've been waiting so long
Oh 99
Where did we go wrong
Oh 99
I love you

99
I keep breaking your heart
Oh 99
How can we be apart
Oh 99
I love you

I never thought it would happen
I feel quite the same
I don't want to hurt you anymore
I never knew it would work out
No one to blame
You know i love you 99

99
You keep holding my hand
Oh 99
They don't know who i am
Oh 99
I love you

I never thought it would happen
I feel quite the same
I don't want to hurt you anymore
I never knew it would work out
No one to blame
You know i love you 99

99
I can't take it no more
Oh 99
Oh we were so sure
Oh 99
I love you

I never thought it would happen
I feel quite the same
I don't want to hurt you anymore
I never knew it would work out
No one to blame
You know i love you 99

Forever Young By Alphaville.

idk why, it just always makes me sad, the melody, and the lyrics.

we all wish to be forever young, but some of us take it for granted, and when we're older we constantley think about all the things we missed and should have done.

The Freshmen by The Verve Pipe. Maybe it is just because it reminds me so much of a hard point in my life, but it is one of my absolute favorite songs ever.

Just A Dream, Carrie Underwood.

The lyrics and the way her voice makes the story come to life is chilling to the bone.

maybe not the saddest ever, but this one always get's me -

Stop Crying Your Heart Out, by Oasis

"Goodbye To Love" by the Carpenters..."I'll say goodbye to love, no one ever cared if I should live or die. Time and time again, the chance for love has passed me by, and all I know of love is how to live without it..."

Got to agree with you on that one,"scrapple". One of my all time favorite singers was Karen. Still shed a tear or two when I hear her voice on the radio while driving. :-)

Is that all there is?- Peggy Lee
The Carnival is Over -Seekers
One is the Lonliest Number- Nilsson
Goodbye to Love-Carpenters
Id rather leave while Im in love- Rita Coolidge

These are my choices for sad songs....many of them have been mentioned on this thread

Saddest song I heard is actually my favourite: '1000 Words' by Jade from Sweetbox, done in the game FFX-2. The song is pretty much a woman singing to her lover about how she never got to say she loved him before she died, and how thousands of words were said, just never the right ones.

Put out the Flame

Peter Skellern

From the album Skellern featuring the Grimethorpe Colliery Band.

Llorando (Crying) by Rebekah Del Rio.

Only song to truly break my heart. In Mulholland Drive.
