Sandals with socks - tacky or cute?

I think it's fine. Especially if you like to wear sandals, have a nice pair that you like, and have really nasty looking feet. I'd rather see that in the market instead of someones nasty feet. Socks have got to be clean though.

My feet are always sweaty and disgusting, so sandals are nice and ventilating.

Around the house I'll wear socks because otherwise the sandals get slimy.

I just don't wear them other times. Shoes or Boots for me in public.

like anything, how you perceive stuff like that is always influenced by how you feel about the person.

if you like them - you'll find it cute. if you don't - you'll find it tacky.

In Cape Town, wearing sandals with socks means one of two things.

1.) if the sandals have a rear strap which hooks around your heel, so they're less like flip-flops, you're a German tourist (sorry Corny).

or

2.) if they look like they do in the picture you're, like, fully a stoner from Table View, bro (it helps to inflect a particularly flat accent for maximum effect).

I wear sandals with socks sometimes. Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. It's more comfortable and I couldn't give two shits about what other people think about it.
