As a trained biologist, that's a new factoid on me. As the son of a mother who thought Hinge and Bracket were real women, I wonder how true it really is.

Forgive me being slow on the uptake not remembering that if you mentioned it before. What caused you to move from biology to accounting / finance?

Did you work in biology?

I also do not think women are any quicker to detect it than others. Either individuals are or are not observant. The vast majority of trans people have seemed obvious to me, but by no means all.
 
It has just been disclosed that NHS Fife has to date incurred legal expenses of £220,000 in this case. It appears that the figure was only released after the Information Commissioner rebuked the health board for inappropriately refusing requests for the information made under the Freedom of Information Act.

The hearing resumes next week.

I was travelling for a few months. Got home last night, had started checking X on the road.
But yeah, a man accusing a woman of misgendering him while his own friends, family and lawyers misgender him constantly... Pure slapstick.

The comparison with Dreyfus is also apt. Rowling is the Zola of her time.

The law being what it is, and with the Supreme Court ruling in April having clarified once and for all what the law has been ever since the Acts of 2004 and 2010, it seems that NHS Fife and any other public institutions still following illegal policy are facing a big reckoning sooner or later.

A similar case has kicked off at Darlington Memorial Hospital, also involving a trans woman (who is legally male in the UK) using the female only changing rooms.
