Sarah Palin, having given no indications that she wants to run for President...

The reason McCain got as many votes as he did was because of Palin. McCain, though I respect him for his military service and the horrible pain and suffering he went through for his country in VietNam was never going to be elected President. Palin gave people hope.

I understand the emotion behind using the c-word. But it isn't expressive, and it is degrading. How about "hick", "empty-headed hillbilly", "authoritarian loser"....?

I have to agree with Jack Springer here. What happened to tasteful political discourse? Whatever happened to, "We can disagree without being disagreeable?"

I doesn't matter what kind of forum this is. The c-word should never be used, especially in a derogatory manner, towards a woman. Likewise the n-word should never be used, especially in a derogatory manner, towards an African or African-American. I personally don't use the f-word, even towards other gay men, because I know that it's a derogatory and hurtful word towards gay men.

If you want to disagree with Sarah Palin due to her political views, her accomplishments (or lack thereof), then fine. But to call a mother the c-word is disrespectful, to put it mildly.

For all we know, Trig Palin could grow up to be a gay man. A gay man with Down Syndrome (yes, they do exist). How do you think Trig Palin will feel, knowing how much hate some members of the gay community have for his mother?

He will know of his mothers feelings toward gays first hand, he won't need a forum like this to remind him. Since his mother is in the public eye I'm sure that word is one of many he will read about her. He will be no different than the Kardashian kids when they read about their parents in the future. It's something he will learn to deal with and maybe ask his mother why people feel the way they do about her.

Sarah Palin has gay friends. Therefore, she is gay-friendly.

Just because Sarah supports marriage between one man & one woman, does not mean that she "hates" gay people. She loves her gay conservative bois especially. Sarah Palin knows that she is the "diva" for most gay conservative bois.

He has written about how hard it is to date gay men in Chicago once they find out about his political views. Once, a liberal gay found out who he was, and threw his drink in Kevin's face at a bar!

Well, in all honesty, I don't think Sarah Palin has a lot of time to be somebody's "fag hag," but she does have supporters and friends who are gay.

Kevin JuJan is having a hard time dating gay men because he's a pathetic loser. Drew Sweatte has yet to rise to the level of pathetic loser.

Palin is such a stupid mediocrity, how could you waste your time reading her books. Well, I guess the oversized print and lots of colorful pictures make her books quick reads, anyway. Or perhaps they're coloring books, in which case you're wasting your crayons on them.
 
JayQueer, Sarah Palin never intended to run for President. She was only doing this to increase her speaking fees, higher book deals. She also solicited funds from her fans so she could take her family on a supporter-paid road rip.

And people were duped by this. Proves there are a lot of stupid people out there.

She will never run for public office again, but of course she will pretend to run again. She quit her governorship half-way through so she could make millions.

I own both of her books, and have read them cover to cover multiple times. Sarah Palin represents the best ideals about America. I am so concerned that America is deteriorating into mediocrity, but Sarah Palin talked so much about restoring what is so great about our country.

I have heard her speak in Orange County, Calif. and it was one of the most memorable days in my life.

I think a lot of city folk don't like Sarah Palin because she is from such small-town roots. She is a self-made woman, a woman who rose to the top based on her own merits and hard work, despite having to raise a family at the same time.

While a lot of gay people can't stand Sarah (case in point -- the gay man's attack on Bristol Palin last week in West Hollywood), the truth is that Sarah Palin is a true friend to gay people. Unlike Democrats, she never tried to get chummy with gays for political points. But she does have close gay friends. One of her best friends in Anchorage is a lesbian, and she has another close gay male friend in Juneau.

Again, I'm disappointed in Sarah Palin's decision not to run, but I admire that she puts her faith in God and family above her political aspirations. She listened to God, her family, and most of all -- her heart -- and she decided that this is not the right time to run.

But it is nice to know that she will use her voice & efforts to help the conservative movement, regardless if she runs or not.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is proof of how Sarah Palin has done so much damage to the mindset of millions of people in this country. Here you have an individual, who is truly saddened by this woman not running for the Presidency. He actually believed a mayor of an Alaskan town, and a one-term quitting governor could somehow "restore what is so great in America," without even explaining what that restoration is.

You see, Sarah Palin is the Anita Bryant of Absurdity. Her image is entirely superficial. She has manipulated and used her followers for personal financial gain. In a way, she is very intelligent. She knows her life is much more profitable going around in a tour bus and selling books that make her a millionaire rather than being a serious politician. She has embraced celebrity status, even going so far as trademarking her name. For that is what Sarah Palin is, a trademark. A product to sell to the masses much like Jersey Shore or the Kardashian Sisters.

Which is why, despite all the jokes that are made at her expense, it is still very sad to see an individual like the one above who truly believes in her.
