Sarah Palin Mad at Family Guy

To be fair, she sort of was in the sense that she was completely different--unafraid to say things, even if those things were completely stupid, happy to be unpolished and speak to the lowest common denominator and use it to her advantage. It was a different act. You can call that "fresh."

But she quickly revealed that she was about as ready to tow party lines and scratch the fact-checking as any other politician.

It would have been refreshing if she was willing to call anyone out, but she just ended up being another pundit.

All politicians, Obama to Palin, end up regressing to the mean.

Yeah, we've never had a leader who was unafraid to say stupid things, who celebrated their ignorance.

Eh, I view the Dub as a different brand of stupid. It's more of unflappable stupidity granted by a shield of "Old Boy" protection, whereas Palin was sort of playing off of an "unabashed and unapologetic rube" act.
 
I dunno, all the evidence seems to point to her being about as unremarkable as everyone else...kind of like most Family Guy episodes nowadays.
 
Palin was defending an attack on her children. A mother that defends her young is a part of all nature. When the character in question mentioned that her mother was the governor of Alaska, a direct attack was made. Politicians should be fair game but their children unless directly involved in politics themselves should be spared no matter what age but especially if they are minors.

I don't watch much TV so I am only going by the clip that I saw online. It showed some blond guy character having diner at a restaurant with the character who I assume has Down's syndrome (by her voice). I must say, the scene was neither clever nor funny, but here was a guy treating his date (I assume) as a non-disabled person and with normal respectful conversation. What more could someone with a disability ask? If this fictional character also said that her mother was the gov. of Alaska, that's still not clever or funny.... but what's the big deal? Did i miss something?:confused:

I hope shes the republican candidate in 2012. then all we need is a good democratic candidate and it's already in the bag.
 
To me this just hypocristy on the part of Sarah Palin. Family Guy is Fox show and Fox has the reputation of attacking persons. Sarah do you not work for FOX? Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
 
Politicians should not respond to this sort of stuff. She's too thin skinned. It encourages more shots at her, which she will respond to also and look even more ridiculous.
