Sarah Palin's Version of the Ride of Paul Revere

That's funny, but what's really funny are the comments on this page of those who sit and jack off to Fox.

http://www.therightscoop.com/fox-news-shows-tina-fey-in-on-screen-graphic-for-sarah-palin/

.... This smacks of a college campus prank

..... me think a liberal in the backstage is playing a prank

.....Tina is doing her imitation in fun. In my view, it has always been an attack.

They can't even own up that Fox Almighty fucked up.

Remember, if it's not Fox, it's the "lamestream " media..... they need to drop her off their payroll.

Speaking of gaffes, here's some classics!

Obama is still far more intelligent then the best of the GOP... seriously. He's made mistakes, but he's not spewing constant stupidity like Sarah Palin. OBama is far more intelligent and open then any republican out there.

Obama had nothing to do with Palins crap mouth.

If [laikaNYC] wants to start a thread on Obamas Gaffes let him. This is sooo far off the plank that its ludicrous.

its professional political mudd slinging done a la JUB. If this site wants to be used in this way, it will not be getting a membership renewal from me when mine expires.

what the fuck does that have to do with Sarah Palin and her retelling of american history?

are ytou really just going to throw mudd here at a political candidate for no point but to distract from your embarrasment of Palin?

You will NEVER change.

Obama was retelling history in those clips. It's okay when he does it but it's a different story when Palin makes a gaffe (if you can even call it that)?

It's most of you who seemed to learn your history from some poem you read in 6th grade.

Palin was telling the true story.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/was...alin-says-paul-revere-warned-the-british.html

The well-known fable is Revere's late-night ride to warn fellow revolutionaries that....

...the British were coming. Less known, obviously, is the rest of the evening's events in which Revere was captured by said redcoats and did indeed defiantly warn them of the awakened militia awaiting their arrival ahead and of the American Revolution's inevitable victory.

Palin knew this. The on-scene reporters did not and ran off like Revere to alert the world to Palin's latest mis-speak, which wasn't.

Like a number of famous faux gaffes in American politics, the facts of the situation no longer really matter.

The initial impression was eagerly grabbed by so many, starting with the reporter and millions of others gleefully sharing the story that reinforced their beliefs and/or desires.

This phenomenon is actually not a new one in American politics, although its immediate spread is obviously hastened by the Internet. Speaking of which, Al Gore did not invent it. Nor did he claim to, as often as you've heard otherwise.

I've posted evidence showing otherwise. Palin was absolutely wrong, and very seriously wrong about the Constitution. I guess you'll say "oh that part doesn't matter...".

I'll take the word of the LA Times over yours... :-)

a man telling his personal history has NOTHING to do with a woman who lied about the history of the nation.

its a stretch and its too far. You never let taste get in your way, I know, but really dude, you at least have to be in the same universe of discussion or you are just subverting, trolling, and in the end baiting others.

Palin doesn't know shit about the nation she wants to be fucking president of, and that happens to insult the people whose families made the nation possible.

Paul Revere was an artisan. He made silverware. ](*,) ](*,) He was a piss poor tactician and almost got drummed out of service for his fuck ups.

He was a courrier for a public service commision just before the war and he used his job to spy on the brittish. He actually had a false alarm in New Hampshire, and reported an invasion there when there was none.

his signal in the old church in the north end was one if by land, two if crossing the charles river... and he informed three or four dozen others to send out the news that an invasion was imminent, probably because no one would have believed him if he had done it himself. At one point he was captured by the brittish during the invasion and he fucking pretended to be on their side as an informant. He sent them north to lexington where Adams was hiding.

Does ANY of that sound like something Palin said or understands?

I just dont think Palin even cares about the USA. She was a secessionist in Alaska and the fucking woman hates what america really is all about.

You posted a hit-piece from a left-wing blog. She never said anything about the Second Amendment or the Constitution.

Palin said, “He who warned uh, the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms, uh by ringing those bells, and um, makin’ sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed.”

Okay, there is a little problem with Palin’s story. Paul Revere’s historic ride occurred in 1775, the constitutional convention did not even convene until 1787. Besides this not so minor point, Sarah Palin gets everything else about Paul Revere’s ride wrong.

Have you ever proved anything here? I just did several times. The source I posted had direct quotations from her.

Nowhere in that clip did she say anything about thee Second Amendment.

You're pathetically trying to connect dots that aren't even there

Really???

:rotflmao:

That's your defense for your little Right Wing Princess?

A State Wide elected official who's only full term in elected office was as Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska?

Who nobody knew or gave a rat's ass about until John McCain tapped her to be his VP in a desperate attempt to siphon off votes from Women Democrats that were disappointed the Hillary didn't get the nomination?

I love youtube! :gogirl:

Want a "gaff" war?

That sounds like the makings of a really great thread! ..|

We could post our favorite gaffs either supporting, or denigrating our favorite politicos. (!)

laikaNYC, I'll give you the chance to step up your game around here, and let you start it. ..|

I promise to moderate it so that it doesn't come across as an attack against you personally! :luv:

What do you say? :D

No I'm not. You just can't admit that you're wrong and that your heroine Sarah is wrong, once again.

Still waiting for that evidence...

Let's see where the words "Second Amendment" came out of her mouth.

Inference:

a. the process of deriving the strict logical consequences of assumed premises.
b. the process of arriving at some conclusion that, though it is not logically derivable from the assumed premises, possesses some degree of probability relative to the premises.
c. a proposition reached by a process of inference.

(Dictionary.com)

She was inferring to the second amendment when she discussed the right to arms. I've watched the clip.

This is another one of your baseless assumptions.

The Redcoats were going to Lexington and Concord to seize our weapons.

Experts back Sarah Palin’s historical account

http://www.bostonherald.com/news/us_politics/view/2011_0606you_betcha_she_was_right_experts_back_palins_historical_account/

Try getting your history from something else than poems you learned in grade school.

I'll bet I could gather a bunch of "experts" that would ask us to believe that mice lay eggs. That doesn't necessarily make it so. Unless its on Fox, of course - the beacon of truth. :=D:

One of the "poems" I learned in grade school was called The Star Spangled Banner, composed by Poncho Villa. During the Mexican War, Jose Rodriguez had just captured the flag at Ft. Sumter, and the Mexican troops, in his honor started the poem with "Jose, can you see?" Fortunately the British, who were our allies at the time, quelled the attack on Ft. Sumter, but the song still remains with us. To this day, we believe it is practically impossible to sing because Mexico was getting even for their embarrassing defeat in the U.S. They are still getting even by sending all those illegals over. It's a well-known fact.
