Thank you - we don't have to insult the other side of the aisle to have our voices heard. For some reason today, Americans are so focused upon single issues that they resort to attacking heads of the other parties: insulting their IQ's, education, values, and families.

From an independent point of view, it is disgusting to see what our nation has come to. I have respect for Palin, because of the amount of criticism and attacks she has received and responded to them so positively. I don't know how she would fair as President, but as a human being she has striven above many of her competitors.

she is one of the most negative talking heads out there in the media today. Nothing comes out of her mouth but criticism of others and a whining need to play the victim after she attacks people.

She quit every job she ever had, and lost to Obama and Biden with McCain.

She has a daughter who got pregnant as a minor, and she spends all of her time away from home.

There isn't a lie she wont tell and a misinformed myth she wont try to pass off as fact. She behaves as if she never got beyond the fifth grade at best.

It was a candy coated interview and Couric was handing her an easy walk with the what do you read question. Any other republican would have plugged a host of conservative mags and newspapers.

I love it that Wikipedia had to lock down the Paul Revere page to keep Sarah's fartcatchers (or herself. perhaps???) from trying to change the page in order to suit her twisted version of events.

I just listened to her 'bit' again and I'm not sure that it was the fact that she just has no clue about what it is that she's even looking at or supposed to be seeing....it is the way she completely butchers the English language by vomiting a maladroit bafflegab mish-mash of nouns, verbs and modifiers that she hopes will get her through the oral quiz.

I have to say that I can only assume that the oral skills she employed in getting through school and landing any sort of job, let alone her beauty pageant crown must not have required her to actually speak.

I can only assume that everytime that Laika praises Sarah, he doesn't get an electric shock and a food pellet rolls into the dish.

Because otherwise, I NEVER cease to be amazed by his slavering devotion for this moron.

I mean how stupid are her suporters? Not only are they willing to support her, they are willing to re-write history to accommodate her antics. (Not that wikipedia is an authoritative source).

she's using her campaign contributions people have sent to her for her presidential run. She says she is not running as of yet, but....

If she's not then she just broke a host of campaign laws to finance a personal trip for her families summer vacation.

I get that as an outsider from Alaska, she needed to come to New England to learn american history... but instead of asking the locals for their knowledge she made comments to the press that show, she is not interested in history. This is just a PR trip, and if she's not running for pres, then its as a media figure.

That puts Ailes and palin on the hook for using campaign funds illegally.

Its either that or give all the republican candidates and Obama as much time in free commercial time on the air as she gets on FOX news as a "reporter/commentator".

Did you read this article? Because it doesn't say that "experts back Sarah Palin's historical account". It says one historian "reluctantly conceded" that if you take the bells and warning shots as a metaphor, she could conceivably have been hinting at an off-hand remark Paul Revere claimed in a letter to have made to a British sentry, but he doesn't think she was. It's not much of an endorsement.

Judging from what I saw on the news about the Wiki page, I see a lot of registered editors on Wiki being dumped. When a page gets too many changes too fast, it automatically locks to general users; from the number of changes shown on the tube last night it had gone far beyond that. That amazes me, that people would sacrifice their standing just to try to "make" Palin right.

Her account is like someone having the right pieces for a small jigsaw puzzle, but, unable to fit them together right, just arranges them any old way and uses a hammer to make them "fit". Yes, Revere rode; yes, there were bells; yes, he warned the British; yes, the right of Englishmen to keep and bear arms was involved -- but none of those factual bits is related in the way she told it.

In 2005 the journal Nature in a peer-reviewed article judged Wikipedia to be as accurate as Britannica. Since then, other studies have come to the same conclusion, more recently saying that if articles flagged in any way or related to some public controversy are excluded, Wikipedia is more accurate than Britannica.


As for editing -- yeah, unless you're a regular, the editing process isn't all that obvious, and I wouldn't be surprised if Palin has no idea how to do it, at least without making an obvious mess. But that she has people who do is certain.
