Scared to death of Ebola Are you?

Ebola is one of many hemorrhagic viruses that plague Africa. I used to work in Sierra Leone doing medical relief work and a friend of mine died there of a similar virus called Lassa Fever.
These infections are no joke but remember this(the US or any other developed country) is not a poor African country and there are ways of preventing it from getting out of control here.
I do believe it will get worse in Africa however. Viruses can mutate quickly - I don't think the virus is the same now as it was a few years ago and it will probably change again.
The posting stating that we are plagued by antibiotic resistant organisms is right on - if you live in a western country this poses a much greater risk to you at present time than Ebola.

Of course, all of those anti-bacterial products don't help - hand soap, dish soap, cleaners. Along with antibiotics, they're creating more resistant and mutated bacteria and viruses.
 I'm quite a hypochondriac but people never can guess that I'm fine with food that fell on the floor ^^

When I was a kid, there was an expression, "You have to eat a peck of dirt before you die." Not any longer. Now, everything and everyone in the home has to be 'sterile'... even the soap.
It's true ..
One essential thing people often forgetting is to balancing their diet with dirt. ^^

^Ewww....you would eat some cheese that fell on a dirty floor?

Anyway....on ebola....I think it's about like bird flu or SARS...bad but chance of getting it is almost zero. You have a much greater chance of being killed on the road by some moron texting about it.

W.H.O. - Ebola is modern era's worst health emergency

(AP) -- The World Health Organization called the Ebola outbreak "the most severe, acute health emergency seen in modern times" on Monday but also said that economic disruptions can be curbed if people are adequately informed to prevent irrational moves to dodge infection.

I wonder how many gay men tonight fucking arse without the protection of a condom will contract HIV, or another sexually transmitted infection....for sure, many more than will contract Ebola....perspective assists.

"More Americans have been dumped by Taylor Swift than have contracted Ebola to date."

This not the Spanish/Great influenza epidemic of 1918. Calm yourselves.

(That pandemic killed more people than WWI.)

I wonder if that's what they were telling people in 1917. :)

Ebola i am scared of it i work at the hospital with patients so i am on the front line if it hits our hospital. The sad part is the USA is taking responsibility to this and footing the bill.

I ain't scared of shit. I seen just about everything in my twenty six years of living. I wish Ebola would become a pandemic. Society right now doesn't make sense and it seems the hourglass is running out.

This generation is stupid anyways, I should know because I was born and grew up in it.. All the tv shows are the same, music can't be improved, technology can't improve. cars still look the same than they did twenty years ago.

It's time for the world to end anyways and the next group of people can start over.

Your chance of being killed by a terrorist or terrorist attack is 1 in 20 million. Since 9/11 the U.S.A. makes you think they are next door. Now placeslike Fox news are sure Obama in responsible for ebola. As to people that say they will never take a vaccine they are idiots. This year The States have had pout breaks of child hood sickness because idiot parents did not get there kids vaccinated. So glad this American has dual citizenship and lives in London England never going back. And not afraid of EBOLA.
