Scream 4

Saw it Today and thought it rocked. Definitely the best sequel and I thought it could be just as good as the original :D

Well I'm probably looking into it too much, but others have pointed out that

When Dewey arrives and checks Robbie's pulse - a couple of medics behind him grabs supplies and runs over to him. Plus maybe the reason Dewey rushed away before saying he was alive/dead was to hurry up to get into the house to see what was up.

With Kirby - she was still moving after Charlie stabbed her. Though why Dewey wouldn't tell Jill this at the hospital IDK...

The whole idea of the younger cast carrying on the next trilogy may have in fact just be a ploy to throw us off. Someone else had a cool idea about sequels -
If Sydney had died and Jill had been the "hero", and then jill becomes the main character for the new trilogy, this would have been so compelling. think about it, Dewey and Gale have no idea what really went down. Meanwhile Jill is doing talk show appearances and stuff like that. Then a new psycho begins to kill and Jill is the main target now.
It would put her in quite a predicament. She has to live with the consequences of being the "new" Sidney and everything that comes with being the survivor.

And it would put the audience in a strange position because we know Jill is an undercover psyco and yet shes still a victim in 5 and 6 trying to survive. So in a way we would be rooting for the killer, or maybe we would be rooting for Jill. Its pretty twisted and would've been an interesting opportunity to explore.

Also, if they wanted to bring Kirby back they could, as she only knew of Charlie's involvement and not of Jill's. Kirby could be the "real" new Sydney and off Jill and the new psycho Ghostface at the end.

i think this is the last one, the box office is just not there for anymore. they took too damn long getting this one made. what's next, ghostface vs AARP?

I don't think it was homophobic at all, especially when the writer of the movie is gay himself. It was just a joke about how the only way to survive a horror movie these days is to be atypical from the regular stereotypes who survive a horror movie. Robbie's "I'm gay! ... if it helps" was just a callback to the earlier explanation.

I am surprised that Williamson has only included one gay character in the entire Scream series so far, and that one was just a minor character (one of Sidney's two bodyguards) in Scream 2, though.

My friends went to see it and thought it was awful.
Glad I saved my $$$ on this one.

I saw this movie last weekend, I wanted to like it but ultimately didn't. Once the killer(s) was reveled it shifted more into a comedy... and not in a good way.

I'm Team Kirby she was awesome.

Re: stokedd for scream 4!!!!

For the Canadians with the Dusk channel, they are playing Scream 1, 2, 3 today

I think its safe to say Scream 1 is really the only one worth watching.

Not surprised that S4 is as good as the last 3...The Franchise is simply spectacular...

I wasnt excited to hear a part 4 was coming since I thought parts 1 thru 3 were enough..So I havent seen it and might wait until DVD...

I've seen some other people think that too.. doubt that's what they were going for, but I could see it with Stu especially. Then again, Mickey in Scream 2 was the one who said "It's time, girlfriend!"

i thought there were some kind of homo-erotic tendencies flying between the original two killers in the first scream film...especially the part when Stu hugs Billy from behind. am i the only one that has noticed this?

Absolutely.

Randy even commented on it in Scream 2. He called Billy Loomis "homo-repressed".

Once we found out who the killers were, I didn't like the movie. Basically, the ending ruined it for me.

Why did that ruin it for you?

I thought the "reveal" was amazing!

Her motive to do it was just unbelievable. I mean kill all your friends, your mother, your cousin, a bunch of other random people out of jealousy and for 15 minutes of fame? I realize the Scream movies don't take themselves too seriously, but meh. I thought it was a good movie up to the revealing of the killers. I'll go watch the old Screams for my Scream fix next time.
