Scream 4

Her motive to do it was just unbelievable. I mean kill all your friends, your mother, your cousin, a bunch of other random people out of jealousy and for 15 minutes of fame? I realize the Scream movies don't take themselves too seriously, but meh. I thought it was a good movie up to the revealing of the killers. I'll go watch the old Screams for my Scream fix next time.

I kinda liked that about her motive though. The lengths that people will go to in order too become famous, even if it is just for 15 minutes. To me thats what made it scary, that she would do all of those things just to achieve something that wouldn't last....

Damn some serious spoiler alerts up in here! I've seen it and loved it, but I'd be pissed if I clicked this and hadn't seen it yet! ;)

It's no sillier than Mickey's motive in Scream 2. He did it all to be famous as well.

Am I the only one who didn't like Kirby? Maybe it was just the actress, ever since the trailer came out, I wanted her to die. LoL

I'm not a real big fan of the actress and I expected to hate her, but I thought she was one of the only really likeable new teen characters....

I was pretty surprised by how much I liked her... That being said I'm not one of those obsessed people who are getting all worked up over how she isn't dead and can't be dead and all that.....

I saw it, but the movie was just ok. I connected with none of the new kids expect maybe Kirby. The kills were way too rushed and Sidney, Gale and Dewey were barely in this. I spent the whole time only on the edge of my seat because of fear that one of the original characters might get killed. Other than that I could've care less about the killer because the story was a mess. Sidney kicking ass throughout the whole movie was the only worthwhile thing. The reveal was anticlimactic but the ending was good.

The movie was pretty good - so glad the originals didn't die. However, I did not like Emma Roberts' acting. She was not believable as the bad guy. She's good at playing the victim, but when they revealed her, she couldn't be totally serious. I wanted to laugh, and it kinda felt like she almost wanted to laugh at how serious she was. That's how I felt anyway!

Yep, Roberts, IMO was the weak link of the film. I'm a fan of the franchise so overall I enjoyed it.

...I dunno, everywhere I go I'm in the minority on this film. I thought Roberts was a wonderful psycho. I thought the film was the best since the first.

I expected to hate her because of her previous roles but I actually thought she did a good job in this movie. She played the victim so convincingly that the reveal was totally brilliant.

The only thing I'm gutted (gettit? XD) about, is the fact that Adam Brody's cop character got killed. They so should have kept him as the new Dewy type character rather than the blonde cop, if she's still alive that is :)

Loved the movie and I can't wait to see it again!

I believe so "Wear a Vest Save Your Chest!" ..|

Agreed. I thought her motive was kind of original, but somehow not surprising at all. Lol, does that make any sense? I mean I could TOTALLY see someone being that fame-hungry enough to go to those lengths. Have ya ever seen the shit people throw up on youtube?

Anyway, maybe watching it in an actual theatre, rather than online-- in daylight, kinda killed the effect, but I wasn't impressed with the movie itself at all. Really felt rushed, and it just didn't have the feel of any of the original trilogy's films...and yes I'm a big fan of part 3 too. Even if it did somewhat suck a little ass...

Plus I'm crazy pissed that a certain someone didn't make the body count:mad:
I think Lucy Hale would've made for a great heroine for the new trilogy, if that's still the plan. Gotta say though, this one really didn't leave me dying for a continuation.

That dude Nico(Trevor)...or whatever his name is, is kinda hot..|

Btw...did anyone else think it was gonna turn out that Jill was actually Sidney's sister. Guess that might've been a little TOO cliche` though, huh?

Overall, it wasn't a HORRIBLE movie, but I might've been kinda pissed if I'd actually paid to see it;)

Forgot to mention that I was actually impressed with Emma's acting. Towards the end at least.

Lucy Hale (and Shenae Grimes) were largely the reason that I didn't like Roberts. IMO they were more interesting and effective in their one scene than Roberts was in the whole film. Ditto for Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell.

Yeah, that's what many people didn't seem to realize. It's not a simple horror movie - in fact, it criticizes and tells a lot more about this new generation people than, for example, "The Social Network".

Besides that, I thought that everything was very well connected, written, and didn't forget at all that this was ANOTHER part of Sidney's story. It didn't ignore her, far from it. I simply loved it. As people have already said here, it was brilliant.

That's another thing I forgot. I usually don't care for Anna Paquin, but I kinda dug her here. And considering I've gotta be the only person in the world who's never seen an ep of Veronica Mars, I always dig Kristen when i see her. Shenae would've been great in a bigger role too. Think I'm gonna go watch the opening again;)

HATED HAYDEN P AND HER CHARACTER!!! Lol, I dunno what it is, but that girl bugs me.

I like all of the opening girls and wish we got to see more of them.

All I would change about the movie is giving a little more insight on some of the characters and making the death scenes more of a chase and scary. You know nothing about them and too many deaths were stabs in the stomach and back.

What bugs me about Hayden P is that she's stubby. Lucy Hale is barely 5' but her weight corresponds to her height. Not the case IMO for Hayden. Now that I think of it, among the young actresses in the movie, Hayden seemed out of place.

I keep hearing this word "meta" in Scream 4 and its reviews.

It's basically like being self-referential. So Scream is "meta" because the characters are aware of the horror cliches/rules and bring them up in dialogue within the movie.
