It's just not sexy and more than that, it moves away from what made Sean Cody hot in the first place: the notion that you were watching two relatively inexperienced guys, aka "amateurs" going at it. It made the guys relatable: that could be you, or you in college.

Now he's got all the theatrics of mainstream porn and they guys seem like reluctant porn stars rather than amateurs.
