I saw that on the news this morning. It's pretty petty. (rimshot)

The more we hear about his squalid little frauds, the more I suspect he's a plant for someone.

I doubt he'd have seen much profit in being a congressman, so it's back to who is paying the bills.
 
It's also just disgusting that the Republicans are willing to welcome a criminal and not even a good criminal.

I get the whole picture now. Cuz up until now I assumed him being gay was another lie, this is a legit stunt queen. So this is the republicans' attempt at seeming progressive, the gay answer to Herschel Walker. "Look, we're not bigots, we have one on the team!" He's a plant, an absolutely terrible person but they know he'll vote the way they tell him to as they expected in Walker's case.

Meawhile, I'm going to pray to the gods that their constituents' homophobia causes this whole Santos problem to fix itself.

I've been surprised that the media hasn't pointed out that he appears to be wearing makeup on the House floor on a regular basis.

Meanwhile... the unraveling of the lies continues:

Santos had been making claims that his mother was "in her office" in the Twin Towers on 9/11. There's at least 3 lies in that single claim- his mother wasn't even in the US, later when did work in the US she did not have a job that would come with an office and she had no connection whatsoever with 9/11, and therefore her death could not be connected in any way to 9/11.

Fatima A.C.H. Devolder was in her native Brazil for the entirety of 2001 — meaning she could not have been working in Lower Manhattan on 9/11, according to the records obtained by The Forward.

The US Citizen and Immigration Services recorded Devolder as coming to the US in 1985 — three years before she gave birth to the future congressman — on a Seasonal Agricultural Workers visa.

Devolder — who had a ninth-grade education — worked on a South Florida bean and squash farm before moving to New York to be a home aide and housekeeper, The Forward reported.

This answers a question that I have had- whether Santos is a US citizen. He is, according to the above but his birth- on US soil- was an "anchor baby" qualification that Republicans routinely rail against. It also means that his mother's subsequent stay in the US was via "chain migration" which is another Republican bug-a-boo.

Jesus Christ the republican party could only be more hypocritical if he did drag queen story time then went directly to a Black Lives Matter march breaking storefront windows.

When Kevin goes down, so will George, and probably Marge. Kevin has whored himself to the extreme chaos caucus. They don't give a shit about Kevin or keeping him in the chair, they don't value what they got from him beyond the ability to make bigger chaos, and this fight over the debt is going to bring all of that into the open.

They actually have better political opportunities being reactionary to someone else, they won't like governing.
