Seriously, George Santos deserves his own thread

Pause for a moment after the first video to consider that the Jew-ish congressperson from Long Island has a Jewish staffer whose ancestor actually did survive the Holocaust that this lying big bag of BS said his ancestors escaped.

Just to recap, this popped up last week:

More than a dozen donors who contributed significant amounts of money to George Santos' 2020 congressional campaign do not appear to exist, an investigation by Mother Jones found...

and we knew this:

George Santos admits to FEC his $500K "personal" loan didn't actually come from him: report

On the one hand, he convicted himself, you can't claim to have lent yourself cash then disclose that you DIDN'T. That is a confession and that's a crime. You can't have mystery donors, that's a crime. You can't forge someone else's name on a filing as campaign staff - that is a crime, and finally, you can't have mystery donors under the names of people that don't exist at addresses that also don't exist - that is several crimes.

The question again is who is it who gave Kitara all that cash? I'm beginning to suspect she offed her Sugar Daddy and sunk his body in the sea.

No doubt the truth will be revealed that she is fabulously all Mata Hari and has been the slinky and sexy secret agent for some nefarious cartel.

OH yeah, and she's going to prison.

If you haven't seen it, there's a Substack called "The Daily Santos" because there's a new scandal out every day.

Poor Merrick Garland. He may not have enough attorneys on staff to handle the post Mango Mussolini scandals.

This is actually a concern They have to chose what crimes to go after.

They'll get him on the money. The donors whose money got laundered will throw Santos under the bus to save their own skin.

If he would have resigned, there may have been a chance that all of the investigations would have been dropped and the press would have moved on to something else. The fact that he hasn't resigned and he's been trolling the press means that there will be a slow drip-drip of these stories. He's already polling with ~80% of his constituents think he needs to resign. He's going to get indicted because there's no one other than Kevin McCarthy that is wanting him to stay.

Sweet Jesus NO!

Rep. George Santos...has stepped down from the House committees he was on. “We just got out of conference and George has voluntarily removed himself from committees as he goes through this process, but ultimately voters decide,” said House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.).

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) told reporters Santos’ move was an appropriate one “until he can clear everything up.”

:rotflmao: Does Kevin really think that's going to work? Who is going to buy that Kitara went voluntarily? Her employers didn't pay for a neutered lapdog.

Nice try Kevin, you can't have your vote and cancel it too.

Well, we all know how spiteful and melodramatic Queens can get, here's hoping Kevin gets bitten on the ass - again.

OOPs

After his meeting with temporary Speaker McCarthy....

Quote of the day:
A spokesperson for Santos told ABC News, “The congressman is reserving his seats on his assigned committees until he has been properly cleared of both campaign and personal financial investigations."

Tick tock tick tock

If Santos is ever cleared, it can only mean that his owner is able to fix things right into the core of the Justice Department. So they would have to be really powerful...and I can't believe they would have been this careless.

I am now more and more suspecting some skeez who thought they could buy a Congressman for a million but are someone like a mid-level 'crimey' creep who has his third trophy wife with $50k of plastics.

Foreigners. I suspect his bosses are from some other part of the world - who might that be?

Precisely because whoever fronted the money doesn't seem to understand the system very well. In the US the one thing that always comes first after suspicion, is an investigation of the money.

OK here's a funny little blurb.

...The resignation [of Kitara's "treasurer], which was posted [today Jan 3, 2023] to the Federal Election Commission website along with resignations from his five other political committees, leaves Santos without a treasurer on the same day those committees are required to file their 2022 year-end reports...

Who will give odds that this person actually existed? Also, apparently, the treasurer who Santos fraudulently named has made a criminal complaint to the DOJ, where there is no Kevin to help her tape up her business.

His House.gov bio is up:

George perused a long path to success, starting in import & export sales, customer service, corporate Hospitality to building an extensive capital markets career covering real estate, bio-tech, M&A, capital introduction for Private Equity firms and managing General Partner and Limited Partner relations. He has experience delivering results in the business world and now he will take that same drive to Washington to deliver results for New York’s Third Congressional District.

She sounds so, formidable. :rotflmao:

In other news, Kitara has a generous family.

A relative of scandal-plagued Rep. George Santos (R-NY) says they never made a $5,800 donation to his congressional campaign despite the fact that they were listed in official documents as having done so.

No doubt Kitara would offer many appreciative thank yous to all his relatives - if only they knew how generous they have been.

I wonder if her dead relatives were also generous.

Looks like the Dunkies and cupcakes aren't buying off the press corps. ;)

We're at a point where one party dumps a well-liked Senator because a decade earlier, when he was working as a comedian, he took a picture that was offensive.

Al Franken was sacrificed to keep Roy Moore out of the Senate.

If Roy Moore hadn't been running for Senate, Al Franken would probably have gotten the ethics investigation he wanted.

(I remember some commenter at Slate -- yes, a woman -- who wrote, skeptically, about Franken requesting the investigation, "What does he want, all these women testifying under oath about what he did to them?" I replied, "Yes. That is exactly what he wants. What does that tell you?")

After a certain point dems need to take responsibility if republicans won't. If they can't protect us from con men and white supremacists they better not count on our votes in 2024. Santos is as much their doing as he is republicans'.

I'm sorry, I don't see the reasoning here. How is George Santos in any way the doing of the Democrats?

They were asleep at the wheel and a con artist who fled Brazil after passing stolen checks not only got elected to congress but was put on committees, he didn't just make it into the house he made himself comfortable and fixed himself a snack with his feet up on the table. If dems can't, at a bare minimum, keep frauds out of government, if they're that inept and toothless then they need to find another field of work. to call this negligence would be complimentary. or should we just anticipate that they're not vetting opponents and US govt is an open field for spies and conmen? or... *snickers* should we *tempers laughter* should we trust republicans to vet their own? :rotflmao:
