Seriously, George Santos deserves his own thread

It passed. Rep George Santos R-NY has been expelled.

We all remember this moment.
Funny how your white power friends aren't there to save you.

Poor George forgot he was a F****t. They'll let the Pedo traffic young girls, they'll let Lap Job Lauren give handies in public, they'll forgive pussy grabbing in many, many forms - peeing on Russian KGB hookers, porn stars, and graft, but George, silly Queen, put on a dress.

Now we get to see if she spills any real tea as revenge before being convicted.

Seen:

I just feel terrible for George Santos’ mother. Imagine dying three separate times, including on 9/11, and then your son gets expelled from Congress. That’s a string of bad luck.

Meanwhile .... 'tenants'?

Nevermind that 105 Republicans voted to give Kitara the boot.

Don Jr is mistaken, not surprisingly. The US Constitution, Article 1, Sec 5 doesn't require any reason to expel a member.

Article I Legislative Branch, Section 5 Proceedings, Clause 2 Rules
Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.

Would you?

You just know he stole the silverware from the cafeteria.

Along with the Jag he drove away in.

Shockingly, it appears that is going to go the other way.

Rep. George Santos (R-NY), who on Friday was expelled from Congress amid his litany of scandals, was slapped with another damning accusation just before the vote, this time from a now-former GOP colleague who alleged Santos’ campaign illegally charged his credit card for “contribution amounts that exceeded FEC limits.”...

Hopefully, DOJ has him on the airport watch list before he escapes to Brazil... or Israel.

Do you think he'd skip town and stiff his Dad and ?Aunt? for the $500,000.00 in bail money?

Amy Klobuchar:

George Santos has been expelled. If they can do this to a college volleyball star, world famous Brazilian journalist, successful NYC financier and noted producer of the Spider Man musical, what hope is there for we mere mortals?

I'm going to give her this one due to the excitement of the moment and perhaps the exterminator fumes lingering about.

A grammatical misstep? Please. When she starts sounding like Greene or Boebert then I'd worry about enthusiasm and toxic contamination (both of which Greene and Boebert profess in abundance quite naturally).

A grammatical misstep? Please.
Not just a misstep, a glaring one confusing nominative and objective case pronouns, but not in a syntax that should confuse anyone.

George W. Bush was roundly mocked for his grammatical goofs. What's good for the gander is good for the goose. The Senator holds a law degree and graduated magna cum laude from Yale.

Her professions, both as lawyer and legislator, mean that she should have a commanding grasp of English, and should not be making mistakes that elementary school children are expected to avoid.

It is noteworthy, if even for mild humor, to note when a highly positioned lawyer misuses the language.

On a slightly serious note, it is not goodness to be better than the worst. Boebert and Greene both come from constituencies where illiterate and ungrammatical speech is an actual asset in trying to prove their solidarity with "the working man." Sadly, neither have to effect any change in language to convince everyone. Both are also only Representatives, not the august Senate club members that are expected to have the highest credentials.

And I should be transparent on Greene. If I heard they were going to tar and feather her tomorrow, I'd drive all night to get there to help. She is an enemy of the State.
