^ How can such a fuzzy and bland tune ever become an earworm

But... but... but.

There is hope, and along a fighter came:

Smooth Jazz and Horns - over 1/2 of my earworms are like that - but I like those -

I have had this song on earworm repeat since the 1980s - have it right now since you mentioned fuzzy and bland:rotflmao: - I think it is slow and sexy

Another one I had today for a couple hours

That's not so much bland and fuzzy as just smooth and trite: it's too artistic to be what I used to describe that Galore band... which I admit can not be the best choice of words... let's just say that the Galore "tune" (hardly even that) is more a mash or even puke, and yours is more like mere street food.

Can't get this out of my mind

This comes up often in my Spotify running playlist for 180 bpm.

I'm not sure it is a true earworm, as I'm glad to hear it every time it comes up. It's probably the easiest for doing cadence drills.
Plus, back in the day, it was "my song."

I was listening to Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto earlier, now I can't get Eric Carmen's 'All By Myself' out of my head. #-o

Great ballad though. :D

It's not just a worm, it seems more like a jukebox for certain moments of the day... The previous one fills in the joker slot.
