Guess it depends on your view of abortion. I consider abortion almost the same as murder, except in certain circumstances, so it was troubling to find out someone I know and care about actually had one done.

I had seen irresponsible parents bringing their child to this world and treat him/her like shit. If she doesn't want it, she has every right to get it remove.

It's ot of your bussiness to say to him anything that is in her private medical file. Especially if it was b4 they met.

Not that I agree w/abortion but she had to make a hard decision and for what ever reason she choose that one.

It's against u.s. federal law (hippa) to divulge information contained in medical records without permission.

Plus it's a crummy thing to do.

Medical Record it not only going to cause firework,s. It,s not called Medical in Confidence for no reason.
I do not know how it works in the State`s here you would lose your job and Data Protection Act,s , would also mean you could be charged under the Law.
SO HEY u could also end up with a criminal record,so you could kiss goodbye to the Force,s and you would not be able to get any form of work involving the Medical Field.

I said I won't do it, and yeah it's basically a med tech or nurse's assistant type of job. If I see a record of someone I know, it's very, very tempting not to go look through it. I actually do it quite a bit when I'm bored at work. I know that's not something to be proud of.....

I dabbled in insurace and medical billing for a hospital a few years ago before starting my meteorology profession.

I had access to a lot of peoples medical information... local celeb's, friends, a few famous people that stopped through the area and had treatment for various things. However, one question I always asked myself was, "would I want some stranger seeing all my personal, medical information?" And the temptation to actually look at things was over.

Never, ever would I do that and in this day and age of technology your every move can be traced on a computer, especially when you have your own unique log in on the said computer systems. I know of a few cases at the University of Iowa where employees were fired for looking at Candidate Obama's medical records. Was all traced through their computer login's.

I understand wanting to tell your friend, because for you it's more of a moral dilemma. You know something about his GF you disagree with, but on this its best to keep yourself quiet. Have you ever talked to your friend in passing about political issues and mentioned abortion? Maybe he would tell you if he knows...
