I already got my $600 stimulus money deposited into my account last night. :gogirl:

Did anyone else wake up to a nice surprise this morning ?

I woke up to a nice surprise but it wasn't $600.

I hope my dad finds a job we have a little to get us through not much though.

The last time it was mailed to us. So it looks like that's the way it's going again.

Be an American making less than 75k a year

That seems remarkably generous. I can understand money being paid to those whose finances have been adversely affected by the virus, but not everyone. Many people (including yours truly) are better off by working from home, being unable to socialise and so on.

For those of you who didn't get it. I got your stimulus right here!

Of course many people are in need of help, but I believe that this money is intended to be dumped into the economy - to stimulate the economy. It's not a personal help concern. More likely to make rich people richer.

In which case, it's to be hoped that people do indeed go out and spend. I think that if an extra £600 were to come my way, it would most likely just sit in my bank account indefinitely.

$600 won't make a dent in my debt.

It's an insult. I will parcel my payment out over the year to buy marijuana.

Is it just your wage coming into the household. must be a burden for you ?

No idea what i'd buy with £600, probably splash out on sex toys, fleshlight, ball gag, anal beads etc, etc.

I'm sure it's also hush money - so that Americans keep their complaining traps shut. Of course, a little weed can go a long way towards accomplishing that very thing.:)

Consider yourself a good American.

What did you have to do to qualify for that?

There is no time for checks and balances for this kind of thing because out Government waited too long to address it. People can't afford rent, being evicted, can't afford food, don't have jobs, their unemployment is running out. We don't have time to see who should and shouldn't be qualified. Especially when they have to budget to do so. They're just greedy old ghouls.
