On the PC? Oh no!!! ctrl + to enlarge text is super duper.I have to wear reading glasses to read.
I've almost always sat down to pee when getting up from bed at night. First of all, I'm blind without my glasses and would not be able to aim. Second, at night I have almost no pressure (weak stream) and it takes me a minute. I know that my caffeine intake causes my urge to go just like taking a water-pill for high blood pressure control. If I have no caffeine after Noon I can make it all night with a trip to the bathroom. But I guess I'm too addicted and can't stop until 3 to 5pm.And I have published a thread about how sitting down is the only proper way to empty your bladder.
But in the nighttime...I will sometimes still imagine that I can remain upright because sitting down is too much work.
I wonder how long it'll be before I cave to reading glasses. I'm holding out, partly because the idea makes me feel old. But I'm noticing that tiny print is less readable than was once the case. Sigh.
I might steal a page from my father's book on cheapness. He wore glasses for readng off and on in my memory, but it apparently became more of a necessity when he was a bit older than I am now. At that point, he opted for cheap non-prescription glasses from a drug store. They apparently worked fine for him, and he liked the price. It was cheap enough that he could have several pairs, kept in various locations.
I hope so, too!Hope it works. I couldn't do audio books.
Be happy that you're old now, not decades ago. Cataract surgery when my grandmother had it was general anaesthetic and a week long hospital stay, and no such thing as artificial lens implants.Cataracts.
