When I was a kid, we had a console phonograph player which played 78 rpm, 45 rpm, 33 1/3 rpm, and 16 rpm.But how many of you have listened to big black 78 rpm records?
the slowest speed was actually 16 2/3 RPM; and, it was the speed utilized by those people who listened to "Talking Books" back when they were on vinylWhen I was a kid, we had a console phonograph player which played 78 rpm, 45 rpm, 33 1/3 rpm, and 16 rpm.

I had to wear a pair today!I get the quick shooting pain in my eyeball once in a while. My Doc told me it's remnants of a previous migraine or cluster headache. Scared the hell out of me. I thought it was the big one.
15 or 20 years ago I sent away for a disposal underwear sample that advertised it looked just like the real thing or something like that. Not sure what brand it was but the ads went crazy for a few years.

Had a Victrola (guts only) in my clubhouse as a kid. The clubhouse was actually the loft above my late grandfather's carpenter shop, which he built into what had been the barn. Not only did I love the 78s, but I introduced other friends to them as they came to play. But how many of you have listened to big black 78 rpm records?
"Watch for the mail.My favorite was "Carolina in the Mornin'", and the flip side was "Toot, Toot, Tootsie, Goodbye!"

Goodbye indeed.![]()
My straight Nephews always used to sing...Oh, and: "Nothin' could be finna than to be in Carolina in the... mor-r-r-nin'.
Nothin' could be sweeter than your Sweetie when you meet her in the... mor-r-r-r-nin'"
Is this the song?
