I've started the slim fast diet.
And at the moment im happy to say im very dedicated and commited to it, but im worrying the same ld milkshakes a day are going to get to me.
Im already getting bored of the two flavours i bought.
Anyone had any experiance with it before, i've lost 4 pounds in 5 days but ive also been doing exercise.
would i be better off just watching what i eat and exercising instead of the shakes ??

Advise please :)
 
I don't know, I tried drinking slim fast before and the ones I bought tasted nasty and metallic. I thought pouring them out of the can into a margarita glass would work but I still couldn't stomach the taste. Maybe I bought the wrong flavors.
 
Dont get my wrong i like the shakes vanilla and strawberry are joi, chocolate however tastes like chicken :(.
And all the snack bars taste like rabbit food.
I think i will see how much i've lost by the time ive used everything i bought then decide whether to carry on with it or not.

And im dieting because i have put 2 stone on over the past year :(

i used to be big when i was younger but got down to 10.5 stone at 16.
Now im 12.5 :(
wanna go to at least 11.5
 
What are you gonna do once you get down to 11.5 stone?

Hey, yeah, so Slim Fast works, but it works not because it is what it is, but because it reduces dramatically how much calories you otherwise would take. Meaning, you would lose weight if you drank just milk of the same caloric value as Slim Fast. Nearly all fitness trainers will tell you that if you want to stay healthy and maintain a healthy weight long term, its better to eat well, white meat, beans, green veggies, etc. and exercise at least 3 to 4 times a week, and you'll be good.
 
It's worked for me in the past, but I didn't follow the diet. I just used the shake powder, mixed with skim milk, as a meal replacement.

It's a good way of controlling your calorie intake on the go when you don't have time or the means to prepare the healthy meal you know you should be eating.

As you've already discovered, not all the flavours are good. I used mostly the vanilla one and occasionally coffee. Strawberry and chocolate are vile.

This is going to be your problem.

Slim-Fast is fine if you need to drop a few pounds before swimsuit season or because you can't fit into a pair of jeans.

But if you're trying to drop 30 pounds, Slim-Fast isn't the way to go.

You need to get into a program of exericse to not only lose weight but to also keep it off. Exercizing will make your body use more energy so that it doesn't get stored as fat and it makes that short term weight loss a more permanent thing.

Start exercizing and toning now. Don't wait until you drop the weight.

Otherwise, you're setting yourself up for yo-yo cycles of weight gain and weight loss.
