Snowmageddon on the way

OMG.... Chicago is really getting dumped on! I was supposed to go there this weekend but I'm going to wait until the weekend after. Can't even drive on Lake Shore Drive, which is where I stay when in town.

June can't come fast enough.

I guess we got about two feet, but that's 3 or 4 in the drifts, especially anywhere next to the street because that's how high the fucking snow plows pile it. Also on my patio because it all blew off the roof.

And tonight's gonna be -7 (that's Fahrenheit for you Canadiennes). So no melting will be occurring for a while.

I honestly did try to go into "The Kingdom" tonight. Managed to get my All Wheel Drive car stuck in my alley! First time that's happened in 26yr.! #-o

Luckily, neighbors helped dig me out, and I managed to get it back in my garage. But, I'm not going anywhere tonight. ](*,)

Keep smilin'!!(*8*)
Chaz ;)

The Midwest got clobbered in this storm. Here...not so much

^^Good Kyanimal -- stay home and cuddle with the BF.

We pretty much dodged the bullet in Saint Louis. Everyone else got hit really hard. We had a good inch of ice of sleet but only ended up with about 3 inches of snow. I'm kind of disappointed actually but I did get to work from home for two days.

If St. Louis would have stayed all snow they would have gotten around 18" or so, but the sleet and a bit of a dry slot played with the totals, also the low pressure and mid level lows (which are largely responsible for snow production) were a bit further West than progged. That's the thing about being a meteorologist, the slightest deviation from a storms forecasted track and your snow/precip totals are fucked. Those kinds of things can never be predicted with 100% accuracy.
