Report them then? I have not seen anything anti-semetic in the Israel/Palestine thread - more just two sides that can't talk to each other.

That's nice. I've been here for years too. And you should know that you do not have to be serious in a HT thread; you are not constrained to the topic, neither do you have to be particularly supportive, which is highly inappropriate on such a topic, whereas you must be in many of the others.

That's not the thread where it popped up, and I know for a fact multiple people reported it, and even called for the member to be banned. Not a peep came from the mods, however. Not even an edit.
 
I think the timing was stupid and unfortunate.

It could easily have been left for a few days until everyone had posted in it and then could have been moved...if it devolved into either purely a discussion about depression and suicide to a safe board...or if it just became about celebrity gawking...to entertainment.

It should have stayed in HT. The site already has such diffuse traffic that smart money would say leave a thread wherever it is most likely to generate hits.
 
^ you mean people who are depressed normally believe in god or something?

^ My point is that something must be placed here. There are so many labels that no matter what gets posted somebody will always ask if it belongs in HT or not.

1. Ummm, isn't demonstrating "lust" for said celeb the point of the Male Celeb Forum...??? And I'm certainly not the only one who does this, either.

It's not that I don't get the point, it just has nothing to do with this particular thread being moved. Robin Williams death thread didn't gain attention for anyone but Robin Williams himself. The deaths of celebrities are always brought up in Hot Topics, this is a general discussion forum, which pretty much means anything can be a topic here.
