Not at all.
Just saying if you see a name, you have no idea if its a male or a female.
Are there any females name John, Matt, Dick, Dug, Adam, Bob, Ed, George, Jacob .... ?

In the far or near future,
Will all male and female will be very equal?
Meaning they use the same toilet, same shower area, same gay bathhouses ... etc ?

Jocelyn Brooke

Writer and naturalist Jocelyn Brooke (1908-1966) was born and raised in Kent. He published his first book, Six Poems, in 1928 while still at Worcester College, Oxford. Having worked in London bookshops and publishing, he enlisted in the Royal Army Medical corps at the outbreak of War and was later decorated for his bravery. After the war he wrote full time in a variety of genres, culminating in the three novels -The Military Orchid, A Mine of Serpents and The Goose Cathedral- which drew closely on his own experiences.

I've been recommending the novels of Jocelyn Brooke since 1981 when Penguin republished The Orchid Trilogy. Now I see Faber & Faber have brought out a whole shelf full (at eye-watering prices).

Brooke's centenary came and went in 2008 without anyone taking any notice. He is a hugely entertaining writer and he was as queer as a nine bob note. His heyday was the post-war years when it was all still illegal and hidden from view but if you know you're reading a gay writer then all the clues are there. He's very subtle. Read more.

..| Cheers, Telstra! I wouldn't have thought to look for all this if you hadn't brought it up.

Bob could be short for Roberta, Joan is a version of John and there was also Jon Bernet Ramsey, and Georgia/Georgine/Georgenne is the female version of George. Other unisex names are Merry (short for Merryweather), Carrol, Gale, Dana, Carter, Dani, Paige, Jamie, Dusty, Sandy, Derrick, Connie, Mel, Kelly, Shannon, Courtney, Tabitha (Pokemon fans know who I mean), Chris, Al, Frankie, Alex, Tony, Kim, Lee, Andy, Angel, Bianca, and Blair.

I had a classmate named Hilary, so yes.

Are they Ronald Firbank-ian?
Are there sensuous moments? I noticed this picture from one of them—

Would you recommend one over the others as an introduction?
