She asked you four times?!!! Wow. Your mom is way more observant than mine. So she knew before you told her; she was crying because of confirmation, which is a lot easier to get over.

I must say a young man coming out to his parents is a sign of real progress. But I think you would probaby agree that it helps to live in an open society.
 
I didn't tell mine. She snooped in one of my draws and found out. She later told me that she cried for 4 days.
