I just felt Beyonce put on a more entertaining show. It told a story.


Being up high, drones and stuff like that is not that interesting to me.


The best Super Bowl halftime show was the one with the Blues Brothers. That one rocked!

If anything, many of them aspire to be like us, to have our material wealth and social mobility. An ayatollah doesn't hate us for our conspicuous consumption--he hates us for our past and current real and imagined transgressions against his nation, and our alliances with its rivals. Similar for the Muslim militant: just substitute religion for nation.

From the conversation: "I do find that I'm regularly surprised at my reception where I expect problems. I tell people I'm an American and they get excited and want me to meet their family."
