Soccer World Cup 2010

Hey guys!

I went to the England vs Germany game on Sunday, cheered for England since have English Heritage, even had my face painted with English flag, disappointing loss though

Im off to PE tomorrow to go watch Brazil vs Netherlands on friday!!
omg, you lucky guy! :D

Can't wait to hear all about it!

Check out this beautiful butt

Jake, now I'm rooting for Spain with you :D This photo makes me want to see more of El Nino Torres. Hermoso! I know he's not your type though, but he's got a pretty face and a very sexy ass (and legs)

Hey fed!

Thanks for rooting for Spain with me! (*8*)

Today I was thinking, the way the teams from Sud América are playing, and the way the teams from Europe are dropping out, in this bracket we could see a Final with Uruguay vs Paraguay! But first you'll have to beat Netherlands or Brasil.

Oh yes, fed! Fernando Torres does have a beautiful ass! ¡Sin duda ninguna!

And he does have a very pretty face, a nice smile, great legs and those irresistible Spanish eyes. He is cute and he's.... just not my type.

«El Guaje» David Villa? Well, he used to be my "future ex-boyfriend".

But now he's leaving València.
And if that wasn't bad enough, de mal en peor, he's going to.... Barça! That dirty rat!
OK, so now he's off my Christmas card list.

Well, of course I'll have to replace him, so now my future ex-boyfriend is gonna be Gerard Piqué. :D

Yeah, I know... he plays for Barça, but at least he didn't leave València to go there!

He's the BIG boy... #3.

The good thing about seeing Spain World Champions is that they would take their shirts off in celebrations! :D I don't care if it's Torres, Villa, Casillas or Piqué, I'd be over the moon with any of these as my husband (gay marriage is allowed in Spain!!!!! Viva!!!!). But if I had to choose because they all proposed to me, I'd stay with Iker Casillas, but he's got that bitch already *jealous*, second choice would be Torres, yummy!

^ didn't I make this more than obvious already that Casillas is MINE? back off!

ahahah Casillas is yours

there's so many more ... i'll take all the other ones k ? sounds good :D

uh-oh, you won't share one or two, Ekim?

I'll be rooting for

Brasil over Dutch princesses,

Ghana over Uruguay (even though I am in love with Suarez),

Not sure about Germany vs Argentina or Paraguay vs Spain so I'll just enjoy the matches. But I give Argentina and Spain the edge in each.

Interesting that Germany's fortunes may lie in the hands of a Turk.

Ha!

The Dutch team are a bit on the "diva" side, aren't they? They're great players, though... van Persie, Kuÿt, Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben.

Özil is pretty amazing. Don't get to watch Bundesliga much on my cable (well, never, actually :() so he is a pleasant "discovery" for me. :D

What is a pink card?

Um, it's when the ref forgets to take a red card out of his shirt before it goes through the wash.

I'll be rooting for
Brasil over Dutch princesses,

Silence, you. I will NOT have you bad-mouthing my beloved and oft-underperforming Dutch. ..| And to be fair, Brazil have had their fair share of over-reacting, diving, and double-handball/Arm of God in this tournament so far to not be called princesses themselves.

Quarter finals!
I will put my cock on a block and call:

Netherlands
Uruguay (although I want Ghana to win)
Argentina (I don't have a favourite here, so I'll be happy if the Germans take it. I think Argentina might win overall if they get through here, though)
Spain.

In other news, I have not managed to score a ticket to Ger-Arg tomorrow. I heard about a hotel which had been given package tickets (you know, stay three nights and get a quarter-final ticket thrown in kinda thing) and still have some left over, so I gave them a call. I was put through to a guy, all very clandestine "the ship sails at midnight" "yes, and the grape harvest has been good this year" secret codes and cloak'n'dagger who told me they don't actually have tickets, but they know someone who does who they could facilitate communication with for me. For 6 grand a ticket; or about $800.

Tempting, but not tempting enough. I suspect if I give them a call two hour before kickoff the price will be more reasonable, but I'd need to be in the area and if he doesn't have or they're still too expensive I won't be able to find anywhere to watch the game in time. Everywhere is fully booked already and the fan parks are nowhere near the stadium.

In short, I suspect I'll be watching this one from my lounge.

One of the things I hate about soccer not being big in the US is that these World Cup matches have not been really analyzed. If this were the superbowl we would get non-stop coverage with introductions to all the players, a breakdown of each team including their offense and defense, and the keys to the match. That is how you can tell soccer hasn't hit the bigtime yet. How Tiger is doing at the AT&T is bigger news, unfortunately.

Brazil's turned into divers now, too many players in Europe or something i guess

However Edaurdo of Portugal did have an impressive world cup, unlucky for Villa's goal.

Likewise the Nigerian 'keeper, Nyeama - had a blinder against Argentina to keep the score at only 1-0 down.

That is a bummer.

I have got kinda used to the 24/7 coverage we dedicate to big events here in .za - cricket, rugby and football World Cups, Olympics, pretty much any major tournament and our guys really do go to town on it. For Athens and Beijing we had coverage on 8 dedicated channels throughout the event. Even for the Champions' League, we get 4 live matches on 4 different channels, plus another 2 delayed straight afterwards if you want to watch; likewise the Premiership football. I don't think I'd cope with the football coverage in the US.

I won't say that those are the same predictions I have (since mine are usually very bad), so I'll say, "I foresee the same outcomes." ;)

Sounds fishy to me.
