It would not have been very disappointing for me if Netherlands had won the Final, as they were my second choice to win the Cup, and because my college coach was Dutch (hmmm... well, he is still Dutch and he was my coach )

Are you sure? Maybe he had a nationality transplant! Maybe he decided he was born into the wrong country, and that he's always been an Australian inside or something.

I hear they have surgery for that now.

1st half: booooooring. netherlands really nervous, spain somewhat as well.
2nd half boooring: so many mistakes from the spanish team .. wtf .. i didn't see anything like that when the were playing germany

kinda disappointed because of all the cards (and all of them justified except one). at least in the last 20 minutes or so the game somewhat gained pace.

anyway .. the good thing:
i was in a small spanish tapas bar, full of half-spaniards, spaniards, and a few german partners of spaniards. for some reason nobody recognized me as german. hehe .. so I just went with the flow and made many new hot "friends". fuck there were damn hot people. I had to show my underwear to one guy to prove that it is not orange *cough*. I would have taken him home, but instead he took me partying in the streets and driving through town with his car, honking.

Corny is right, ^ the first half and most of the second half were kind of boring. And then a lot of good chances for both teams (all but one blown ).

When Iniesta scored, I jumped up so high and yelled... nearly hit the ceiling.

The shy, retiring, quiet, modest Iniesta got 300,000,000 yelling and screaming!

I didn't see any, but I was away from the TV, posting here.

I can only imagine the celebration in the locker room. Here is a clip from when Spain won the European Championship in 2008.

I mentioned that I went to the Kansas City Wizards vs Chivas USA match last night.

This is what happened during half-time. There were 4 streakers in all, "disguised" as security personnel in purple shirts and khaki pants.

didn't see much afterwards except some shirt swapping (and fuck there was hot shirt swapping yesterday as well!) but during the pre-match warmup they showed some nice footage from euro 2008 and earlier sa 2010 celebrations!

I just have a thing for rough dark haired guys, preferably with dark eyes as well so the "fuckability" factor there was high. also i was there with a half-spanish friend so it was easy to get connections

I can't believe it's all over! 4 weeks ago I was gearing up for Italy-Paraguay and freezing my nads off, and today I have the biggest non-alcohol hangover ever in the history of ever. I'm all in black today, truth be told, after the result; all my orange stuff is out of sight and thus (not at all) out of mind.

Apparently Spain bailed at first light - they were already in the air when it was reported on the 7am news while I was barrelling down the freeway into varsity. I would have thought there'd be a parade of some sort through Joburg this morning and they'd fly tonight, but I guess not . Looking through the flight list for Jnb on their website, I see there were 5 flights on Iberia to Madrid between 4 and 5am, so I guess it was on one of those. 5 also to Amsterdam, 2 KLM and 3 charter, so chances are the Dutch are gone as well. So it really is all over. Well, it was a lot of fun.

So, chaps... where to from here? A Champions' League thread, maybe?

It was very touching to see Casillas fall to the ground and cry, I almost started to cry myself.

Spaniards are very hot. Definitely up there with Brazilians and Italians!
