A lot of criticism has been thrown at Obama. Well here are a couple of shortcomings that a lot of people this election cycle have criticized him for.

* Talking eloquently (McCain)

* Being well liked overseas (see McCain's ad about Obama's "celebrity")

* Bringing huge crowds (Hillary, see her statement where she became Shrillary accusing Obama of running a dirty campaign)

* Being highly educated (check any post by a redneck on here and on TV)

* Embracing your wife ("terrorist fist jab"-statement by ED Hill of Fox News... the same tramp that's been married three times and has 8 kids. Bitch, it ain't your husbands fault for your divorces)

* Being against the Iraq war from the beginning only to have your opposition to the war called a "fantasy" (Bill Clinton in South Carolina)

* Growing up on Welfare and becoming an accomplished man despite having statistics against you (hey, according to Fox News his being raised on welfare to a teenage mother was offset because his mother was ambitious and studious as she was getting her PhD)

Feel free to add other suddenly negative attributes this campaign cycle

Those 2 reasons are enough for me. What a refreshing change to have a president that can communicate eloquently. When Mccant said that in the debate I got turned on.

Aren't they all? Especially the ones who voted for and supported that Wall St. bailout package. Wasn't that socialism and welfare?

And what about Johnny Mac back in 2000. He was all for socialism and spreading the wealth back then. Man, I miss him......

Well,I'm with you on the bailout. Don't like it one bit. It is redistribution.

exactly....i wish more people would maybe read up on topics before they speak, post, etc

You could, if you were of such a mind, explain why he isn't a Socialist.

never said he was or wasnt.....

youre throwing it out there like its a bad thing.....

there are many socialistic programs out there (welfare, social security, stimulus checks, etc)...advocated by both parties

im just sick of people saying this is a deal breaker on obama...when mccain has has voted for a socialistic bailout...irony....

and before you go accusing....i really dont like either candidate

That's just more of the Modest Means Moron Mania running rampant in this country.

If I made Joe's salary, had his education and lived in that neighborhood this talk about redistribution of wealth would sound pretty damn good.

Ummmm....he's a Socialist.

All because of his "share the wealth" comment to Joe the [unlicensed] Plumber. As if Obama invented taxes.

btw...I like your new avatar. I never pegged you for a Deadhead. You must have been over the moon when the Grateful Dead recently regrouped in support of Obama.

*Poor Judgement (Wright, Ayers, etc)

*Lying about the depth of his relations with those listed above, which makes him untrustworthy

*Lack of Executive Experience

*Wanting to give my money to lazy, undeserving people.

*He picked a dumbass recluse that spouts random word vomit as his VP

*Saying anything and everything just for a vote when he knows DAMN WELL he doesn't intend to fulfill his promises

But, some of these aren't anything that would make me NOT vote for him, only a few.

I'm agreeing with you essentially.

sorry about that lol.....im just used to people speaking/talking/etc from their hearts when it comes to poltics...you think this board is bad....my jobs even worse

Being well liked overseas (see McCain's ad about Obama's "celebrity")

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Isn't picking a Veep candidate who you've only known for SEVEN WEEKS (or so I heard on Sirius a few hours ago - though I consider this unsubstantiated for now), who has one-half the intelligence of a fern, but as a former Miss Alaska was, and still is, a bombshell, one of the most extreme examples of pandering to celebrity?

Regardless of who you vote for there's one side you're usually defending and one side you're usually slamming on here, I'm sure you can understand the misconception.

Because I'm not for either side, really. I have agreements and disagreements with both sides, however I don't see the fairness ANYWHERE on here, when one side is constantly praised, and the other is constantly slammed on. I choose not to be one of the bullies. (not naming anyone in particular, nor calling all who support Obama bullies)

It's not really a fair debate on here because there's so many for Obama, and so little for McCain. It IS discouraging. Especially if a particular poster who is for McCain likes to talk politics. But it's not exactly a 'fun' place to talk about politics because 99% disagree with you.

I don't want McCain supporters to feel like their throats would be slit if they spoke up. Whilst most of the pro-McCain posters are pretty clueless and not willing to answer the opposition's questions or give reasons why they are or aren't voting for a specific ticket that's even a VALID reason, I feel there are some who could actually make Obama supporters ease up on those supporting McCain. But, just from what I've seen, I'm not surprised they haven't spoken up.

I don't like Obama, however I don't think we need Republican rule this time around. So yes, I'm not gonna act like he's the best thing ever, but I'm taking a chance on him. I still don't like him. I'm not required to like him just because I voted for him.
No candidate is without flaw, however, a lot of people here seem to think Obama is God and nothing is wrong with him and he's perfect. There is NO GOOD about anyone on the Republican ticket, however. Nothing positive...ever. And I don't like seeing that. Sooo....I'm just rambling on here. Hopefully it made sense. Its like, 4am.
