Or maybe you just get a stick up your ass and a holier than thou attitude when someone slightly generalizes anything on here like it's not a thing people do in regular conversation or that people don't understand that when someone does it they're not talking about every little single person in that group.

In SPain if a policeman sees you without a mask he can fine you! However no one goes without a mask whcih is mandatory on bus and train and in going to any store! Thats why we have almost a flat line on cases! As for Florida and other states that have brought the count in the USA up by over 80,000 in juts a weekend we can wish that so man of them RIP!

Or again, maybe it just has to do with you taking a generalities comment a bit too seriously? I am not the one worried about the danger of accurate statistics of people who are not wearing masks in a Pandemic with a disease we don’t have a vaccine for. That in itself makes them a danger alone, let a lone the ones attacking others makes them an even bigger threat.

I am not claiming my numbers as complete statistical fact. I am sorry that I used the word significant in the first place if I knew it was going to upset people. I will instead just say SOME of these people because I don’t want the people who are actually spreading fake news and propaganda while putting other people at risk because of being anti-mask to be misrepresented.

My brother and his wife were living in a small Italian town when all this all started. They had planned on returning to the States in May but weren't allowed to leave the town at that time, and have now decided to remain there through the summer. He told me that initially (I don't know about now, we haven't talked about it.) the police were out on the main street in town to be sure that everyone was wearing a mask, and that you would be fined if you didn't. There have been no reported cases in the town--although perhaps that's because no one has been tested.

Interestingly, Italians use the American English "lockdown" when there are perfectly good Italian equivalents. (I listened to an Italian TED talk the other day about how the language is increasingly "loosing" words to their English equivalents.)

I wonder what compliance is like in other parts of the world. Are there anti-maskers in, say, Germany?
