Songs That Shoulda Been Massive Hits

Maybe S.O.S. would of been bigger here in Baltimore if we had a pop station. I had to be in DC to hear it on the radio.

i was a kid when this came out so i'm not sure it was a big hit but i still love it...great lyrics...(some people think i'm nice, some people think i'm nasty but if you really wanna know then ask me...and i'll say i'm nicety.)

All excellant songs and her last album was really good as a whole.

I don't care who the artist is, If I like It.... I like it!

"Dreamlover" was the only song I caught myself singing to I believe?!?

A song that I am really enjoying now Is "Always On your Side"- Sheryl Crow & Eighties;"Could've Been." Anyone else thinks so????

I totally agree.. Lisa Marie should have been so much bigger both her albums were lyrically amazing, she really has a gift for song writing.
i think my favs are sinking in, turbulence, shine, now what and fade to black.
personally i think lisa has more of a underground following which makes her just as successful.. that and elvis fans love her lol
 
I have always thought that Blondie's comeback single "Maria" should have been a huge hit in the US. It's a very catchy pop song and was no. 1 in England and other countries.

You Mean The World To Me by Tonix Braxton should have been MASSSIVE. This song is lyrically awesome - and the song was just produced and arranged extremely well. Plus I LOVED the video!
 
The Scorpion Sleeps - Rob Zombie

No, not a mainstream #1 hit, but this is the kinda song he shouldda used as a first, or at least second, single off of his latest, and under-appreciated (IMO) album.

Maybe Janet's "Enjoy" will be the hit she's been waiting for. Love that song.

BTW, MCsNo1Fan, I thought "So Lonely" shouldda been a mainstream hit. A song you could dance to at the club for sure! Loved the bonus songs on the 'Platinum Edition'... but with an album with that many potential singles you can't go wrong, right?!

I thought that record could have produced singles for another year - but they were smart and released the fan favorite that way it would kinda die out but not too quickly. The Pussycat Dolls and Kelly Clarkson have milked their albums for all of the potential hit singles - and it worked. But I personally never wanna hear another PCD or Kelly song for at least 3 years because of it lol

I have her whole tape... I loved No More Lies. I was 10 years old when that song came out. Nicety, too.
 
"No More Love"- God Lives Underwater
I thought they were a decent band from the '90s. Wish I had seem them back then.

"Blind"- KoRn
This song should of been huge IMO. Great song. Gets me through those tough days.

"Bored" - Deftones
Another great band and great song IMO.
 
i agree with you mun about "la la"...i usually hate ashlee simpson and her surgically reduced nose but that's one catchy-ass song.

here's another oldie..."temptation". i miss freestyle!

I think these four should have been massive, massive hits!
