Songs Worth Sharing

I'm a Carly Rse Jepsen fan. We loyal fans feel she's criminally underrated. This is a deep cut from her "The Loneliest Time" album.

For someone, who suffers that player in silence.

Remind them of their strength.

" . . . don't you come back here Yankee . . . (but if I ever do) - I'll bring More Money!"

Here's a song by singer/songwriter Laura Nyro. It is quiet, subtle, proving her talent extended past writing pop tunes.

Here's a song from my high school years in the 1970's, it hit the radio for a couple of months - then disappeared.

The original version got nowhere over here but the wonderful cover by Donny Hathaway remains much loved by UK soul fans so the song lives on.

Had he lived, I think this song would have been a transition song for Otis Redding, expanding his repertoire beyond the soul/R & B sound he was known for. It would have set the stage for him to record in many genres, and make him a seasoned popular artist. Sadly, it would become the song he was remembered for, and many people don't know about the incredible energy Otis brought to songs like Respect, Mr. Pitiful, and Try a Little Tenderness. He may have changed to whole field of popular music.

Book Of Love - Tubular Bells + Pretty Boys And Pretty Girls (Reagan's House Medley) 1986

14 minutes long

(you can hear Regan cry out for her mother)

The Exorcist music 'Tubular Bells'

A song and album that helped me recover from the 80's from so much fear and deaths because of AIDS.
It felt religious, sexual and also hopeful to move on. And I am not religious.

Written and sung by Alfio Antico.

Silence of love

I have loved you since you were in the cradle,
I have given you tenderness morsel by morsel.
Silence of love flowing in the veins,
I cannot tear myself away from you.

Weep not, ye olive trees:
Love and tenderness have come a long way.
My beloved joy, my soul's inspiration,
Give me your heart, I give you my life.

My mind is empty and devoid of colour;
Only when a mother forgets her own child
Will I forget my love for you.
I love you, my little one...

Swallows, fly to my beloved
And sing for her in life and death.
These rustic parts are like the whole world,
You are the queen and I am the king of Spain.
