It's not overplayed, but grating and obnoxious sound about right. I have 0 love for David Bowie anyway, but that Space Oddity thing just gets under my skin.

I don't even look at Taylor Swift as country. Her music just sounds like straight acoustic guitar pop to me. If it is country it's pretty watered down.

Every Rose Has It's Thorn, by Poison. I want to take away the guitar away from the jerk and beat him with it, it is so irritating and the lyrics are so cheesy. We recently bought a "Jukebox" and it has the 45 in it, my bf thought it would be fun to play it, I told him that if he ever play it again I would take out the record and make him eat it!

Taylor Swift is not country by a long shot, no matter how many steel-licks she adds to her songs. She is an effective songwriter though, but she cannot sing to save her life. Her voice is thin, pitchy, and has a highly unpleasant tone to it.
