The Sy-Fy channel is airing old Star Trek: Next Generation episodes. There's an episode currently airing called "New ground" (aired in 1992). I see Wharf sitting at a table with an Italian woman and he calls her "mother"....She talks about the old days raising Wharf as a child and now she's finding it difficult to raise her grandson Alexander.

I'm a Trek-Geek and Maybe I missed this episode when it aired in the 90's or I simply forgot about Wharfs Family background...I've seen all of "Next Generations" movies and just about ALL of the shows from the 7yr run...

I can't believe Wharf was introduced as being "Half-Human" during the series-run and I forgot about it...That's like forgetting Spock is "half-Human"..it just doesnt seem right...

Any of you Trek fans out there recall Wharf talking about being half-human EVER?

I thought his parents were killed on a planet and a starship Captain took him home to be raised by him and his wife. I don't think he is biologically half.

Maybe I'm wrong? I thought this was discussed in season 1 when he was disowned by the Klingons for his father's supposed treachery.

Well apparently you also forgot that his name is Worf .. and I am sure that was mentioned quite a few times ;)

But .. he is not half-human. He was raised by human parents.

Well that settles that...My instincts were on-point..Seeing His mother threw me for a loop...

He was orphaned after the Kittimer (I'm sure that's spelled wrong) massacre of many Klingons by the Romulans. He was then raised by human parents on earth. He has an adopted human brother too.

He was only raised by humans. His son Alexander is part human, but on his maternal side.

A Trekkie who doesn't know it's Star Trek: TNG (Star Trek: THE Next Generation)?

A Trekkie who doesn't know how to spell Worf's name?

A Trekkie who think Helena Rozhenko is Italian? And what about his father, Sergey Rozhenko?

Did you know Worf has a real brother?

Obviously Worf was a very interesting character but I prefered the Half-human/Klingon officer, B'Elanna Torres!

Anyway, real Trekkies, or Trekkers always have this link to hand!

Why do you even give a Fuck what I remember about the series? I do not like your old-Ass and I do not want any information from you...I Got that information from Jubers that posted before you......You are aggravating to the neighbors that Live in your apartment building and you are equally aggravating to Jubers on this site....

For the last time.....Fuck off...

Come on guys, lets at least keep a discussion about scifi civil. i've heard TNG called a bunch of stuff, the next generation, next generation, next gen, tng, and star trek: the next generation. MM didn't call it anything i've not heard.

...as for the question...well the other guys are right. not half human, just raised by humans. he has a human "brother" and a klingon brother.

For the last time.....Fuck off...

That would be the first time.

And I have just as much right to post my opinions here as you do.

At least I don't profess to be anything other than what I am and then happily go about proving myself wrong.

And?....Why would I give a Fuck about what you profess or prove? I don't give a Damn...

I think we're going to need a level 7 containment field with restricted to level 10 access!

Belay that order. Neither my opinions nor my knowledge are wanted or appreciated here.

Enterprise. One to beam up.

Belay that order. Confine MM to guest quarters. I'm sure Worf would be more than happy to stand guard.

Trolls are not wanted or appreciated in any thread...This is a second thread that I've created in a different forum that you've trolled...

Actually, he wasn't trolling. He was responding directly to your post and your obvious lack of knowledge on the subject you were attempting to post about. Some Trekkers take such laziness (you could have easily looked up the spelling for Worf's name instead of calling him a wharf) as a sign of utter disrespect (kinda like flipping the whole community off). So yes, he pointed out your disrespect of the community, but no he wasn't trolling. You just have quite the thin skin (under such circumstances it isn't wise to go around pissing the soup of another - even if it is just from carelessness).

Admiral Janeway... was the best Captain ever!!!
