First of all Starbucks is delightful. The reason why there are so many of them is that they are obviously doing something right.
Why, then, are so many of them closing down all around the world?

Because they expanded haphazardly, sometimes putting stores within blocks of each other. I don't know why their expansion plans were so careless but they seem to be finding the right level.
They got greedy. And they're still suffering. They've recently announce that they will be selling alcohol as well. Anyone for a $15 bottle of Starbucks beer or $45 for a glass of Starbucks wine?
I LOVE THIS CLIP, I LOVE THIS MOVIE. I do.I roll every time I watch this.

That's really just expanding their business into something new. And it probably won't be in actual Starbucks, but a different store apart of the same company. They got greedy. And they're still suffering. They've recently announce that they will be selling alcohol as well. Anyone for a $15 bottle of Starbucks beer or $45 for a glass of Starbucks wine?
Why do you knock things that you've never tried? You, yourself, said you've never even been inside one. Why not travel out of your world and try something new? Then, you can decide for yourself whether 1) it's worth it or 2) not worth it or 3) a big rip off.

1 -- Whilst taking the bus, could you run some other errands to surrounding businesses?
The coffee is 3 dollars, not 7. Paws was exagerating with the price.I'm not knocking them. I'm merely commenting on their initial success and their recent decline. I've never had their coffee because:
1 - I would have to take a bus to get to the only one I know about.
2 - It would cost me $4.50 just to ride the bus to the nearest shop, making the cup of coffee worth $11.50.
3 - I can't afford an $11.50 cup of coffee and I don't travel out of my world because I'm not able to.
Starbucks is great for those who like their coffee and don't mind paying their prices. I can't even get to Tim Horton's.
I went to Starbucks. They had a new Frapuccino flavour called Lemon Hibiscus. I thought it would be like the other Frapuccinos.
I paid $7 for some watery juice mixed with blended ice![]()

Well, honey, what side of town is that, the Starbucks side? Surely you have more than one?

2 -- Starbucks sells a "short" coffee (you have to ask since it's not on their menu) for $1.60 which includes tax. Their "tall" coffee is $1.77 which includes tax.
3 -- I think you DO need a good, strong coffee! Could someone bring you one?
Who the hell would know what Gloria Jean's is?Geeze, i know there's a full moon any minute now - but HOLY COW ! BETWEEN THE armchair philosophers, and the world travellers - IDK .
Steak&Cheeze man - did it ever occur to you that prices are different EVERYWHERE? Did it ever occur to you that he's talking CANADIAN DOLLARS? AND .....there are most likely far more Gloria Jean's in Canada and the NorthWest than Starbucks - -they WERE #2 in their category not too long ago.
i find it positively hysterical that people are soo willing to give such wonderful free advise as to tell someone to go run errands -- when they've never been there and have no idea what's there - or why GSD would /shuld go there.. Give it up - already.. If you paid for each post by the word - you'ld think about what to say that's relevant before taking hands to keyboard.
ugh. i hate coffee. it makes me laugh when i see people juggle their starbucks cups. the people i work with suck on them for hours.
Ohhh do you know them? I thought they were virtually the same price throughout the entire nation!?KINDA wondering what you're sucking on for hours, while they're with their coffee... it would be far more interesting now than hearing about coffee prices in Texas.
I just think it's rather odd that someone would turn their nose up at Starbucks coffee without EVER stepping into one.
