Stargate Atlantis: Season 4 (Open Spoilers)

Speaking of Rodney (David Hewlett), here are some various videos from David to the fans:

His most recent video, posted about an hour ago:

And here are the trailers for his AWESOME new movie, A Dog's Breakfast, which he wrote, produced (along with his fiance'), and starred in. It's a Dark Comedy, it's absolutely hilarious, one of the best comidies i've ever seen. It's coming to DVD in September (18th in the U.S., and it will be released internationally thereafter), so everyone buy it (It's also available for download on iTunes and Amazon Unbox Video)! In addition to David (Rodney McKay), it also stars Kate Hewlett (David's real-life sister, who plays Dr. McKay's sister, Jeanie Miller, on Stargate Atlantis), Paul McGillion (Dr. Carson Beckett on Stargate Atlantis), Rachel Luttrell (Teyla on Stargate Atlantis), Christopher Judge (Teal'c on Stargate SG-1), and of course David's dog Mars.

He and a small crew made the movie inbetween the filmind of Stargate Atlantis' seasons 2 and 3. They filmed the entire thing in less than 14 days for about $120,000. And it's turned into a SENSATIONAL hit. It's received high praise from everyone you could think of. It's just a great movie, so show your support! And buy or download it! ;) It will also be available at Best Buy stores on Sept. 18th, along with Atlantis' third season box set. So why not get a twofer?

>>>ANOTHER UPDATE<<<
to the initial post, with some more new info, the revised and complete episode order (from episode 1-20 as released yesterday by the SCI FI Channel), and more info, including the international premiere dates! New content marked with "NEW -".

And also be sure to check out the DVD section of the post for information about David Hewlett's (Dr. Rodney McKay) new movie, A Dog's Breakfast!

Special Thanks to springboksfan for updating the post! :)

oh and proven your not the only one thinking Rodney is cute i cant help it maybe we could pin him down one day

I wish! :) Unfortunately for my fantasies, he (David Hewlett that is) has a fiance' he's planning to marry early next year, and a baby due in the next month or so, his first. But if he was single and non-breeding, MAN I'D PIN (he starred in a movie named Pin btw) HIM DOWN IN A HEARTBEAT!!! *|* I mean, i think he's so damn cute, hot, adorkable, caring, well you get the idea.

Rodney and Sheppard would make a cute on-screen couple though. In fact in an offical MGM poll a two months ago, 85+% of voters said Rodney and Sheppard was their favorite slash (Slash is slang for same-sex pairing, Ship being the opposite sex pairing). And, it's quite obvious Sheppard's in the closet. I mean, he's textbook closet gay. :sex: And he obviously has a secret thing for Rodney ;). Now, if only we could actually get them together on the show! That would rock insanely! Not to mention make it gay guys' favorite SciFi show.

not so sure bout McKay, but i think Sheppard and Ronon are really hot*|*

Heh, don't ya know it. You know there's tons of fanfiction out there that focuses on Sheppard/Rodney love. Some of it G rated, some of it X rated. Check out the livejournal communities, search for McShep, or stargate slash, or whatnot.

Shep's cute, but Ronon... See it's the hair that gets me... i don't like the dreads. Too, cave-man like. And he's going a little too tribal with the new tattoo he got (that they had to write into the script for him)... So... Eh... I'm for McKay love all the way ;).

Snagged these online a long time ago, thought they were cute, especially the banners :). David has a big gay following, lets make it bigger! :)

forget mackay, I'm in love with RONAN. mmmmmmmhhhhhhmmmm!!!!!!! Sexy!!!!

Again, there will be no Rodney bashing here! :grrr: As i love him, and i started the thread! So teehee! :D

Yea, but Ronon's dreads are so.. manbearpigish... and yucky. Now if we could get him a nice cleancut look going, then yea, he'd be ok. He'll never be as cute as Rodney though, hehe. :gogirl:

OH MAN! I can not wait. Thanks for the updates and keep them coming. ;)

No problem mikey! And welcome to the thread! Post as often as you like, please. We're trying to drum up a little Stargate community here!

I consider myself pretty knowledgable about the new season, there's a lot of stuff in my head that i know i've read somewhere, but don't know where, and what not, so haven't posted it. So if ANYONE has questions off the top of their head, that they might want to know about the new season, ask away, i may actually know the answer. And if i don't, i know how to contact... certain people... who are intimately involved with the making of the show (yea i'm special... Actually not that much, but i can ask questions of certain people, doesn't mean i'd get answers though... Obviously some spoilers will always be secret until episodes air, and no, i don't know any SUPER SECRET spoilers or anything like that).

And so, because i can, i choose to make my 1,500th post, in the Stargate Atlantis thread.

Stargate Atlantis rocks! :D

Rodney McKay is so cute! :D

I love David Hewlett! :D

That is all...

thanks for this thread, it rocks,

could you describe how you decided Sheppard is in the closet? and the signs of a "textbook" case as you said?? im astonished and am just interested in knowing how you know/figured it out. thanks.

Heya, no problem, like i said, stick around!

So, i guess i should say i didn't mean to say that the Sheppard character "IS" gay, in fact i'm sure the producers of the show intend the exact opposite. As for the textbook line, that's kinda hard to say, b/c there's really no textbook case as we all know. I'm just used to having to explain to straight people why i think he's gay, so that's where the "textbook" line came from.

Anyways, as to why i think Shep is in the closet, from the very first episode my gaydar was pinging all over the place with him! The frequent inexperience with sexual situations was a first good tip. His frequent references to "not knowing what to do when these things come up", or "never seeing something like this coming".

Then there's his obvious internal attraction to Rodney, which he masks with jokes and picking on him. And then there are his mannerisms, he's always been very shy, especially around women, not to mention he can be very animated. Just kinda look for it, you'll see some of those gaydar pings i'm talking about. Oh, and of course there's the "manly" overcompensation when interacting with other men.

A lot of it comes from Joe Flanigan himself (the actor) i happen to wonder if he might be in the closet as well. Just a hunch on my part, even though he's married and has kids. I have absolutely no proof of course, and would never say "he is", but it's just a suspicion. But as for the sheppard character? I think he's gay. Was he meant to be by the show's producers? No. Do they see it that way? Probably not. But i do, and so do a lot of other fans ;).

As for Rodney, he's at least bi... just because i want him to be. :) Plus, he really does look up to Shep so much, tries to hide it though. Best Buddies :D. They make the best lovers :D. He's so insecure though (Rodney), i'm just waiting for Sheppard to you know, build him up a little. It would help if he just admitted he loved him!

Even though it's not officially Stargate Atlantis Season 4 news, it is Stargate news, and thus i think worthy of posting about, since some of you guy may not know it's available.
