Thats the sadest news in so long, a father of 2 and a loving husband, i hope there all ok, im from australia and the news is hitting people so hard, its wied, i went to the zoo he owns he was the funniest zoo keeper, lets keep the tribute alive!!

this is very, very sad i never expected him to die like this either. I must admit I had a crush on him, he seemed like such a nice guy. I feel sorry for his family especially his kids.

I use to watch his show every night before bed time when i was in middle school. I cant beleve the sad news. inv_cry.gif inv_cry.gif I can only imagine the pain his family is going through.

OK... A thought about Steve Irwin that'll piss some people off...

First off:

I'm sorry the 'Crickey' guy died.....

God bless him, he passed doing what he loved. We should all be so lucky.
(I suppose)

But.

Consider this.

If you choose to Father children, shouldn't your priorities change ?

If you wanna go out and covort (gads, a term my mom uses) with gators and
Lord knows what other sort of primordial slime, than more power to ya....

But. If you have little kids depending on you as a Father figure and financial
provider, shouldn't you maybe scale back the swimming with aligators thing
for a few years ?

Am I so self-absorbed that to Hell with my Wife and kids ?

Google some more info and you will find how passionate his wife and his daughter are to animals and how they loved each other with all there work and home life, he knew the risk he was taking and he has said that on different media channels, i guess when you have such a love ofr animals that his family did , the animals become part of your family........... I had the pleasure of meeting Steve on a couple of occasions and was so impressed with his passion, his absolute, unwavering commitment to the protection and conservation of wildlife, and his genuinely friendly nature .... I am devastated at the news.

I am going to put myself in the devil's chair & say, he got what he deserve! I'm shock it was a croc that didn't get him first. Long b4 the baby controversy, I was appalled by his behavior & treatment of wildlife. When does harassing animals become entertaining!? Instead of making wildlife the star (which was commonplace thru the 80's), this asshole (& many others) make the human the focus. I don't care about you, I tune in for the animals/nature in it's habitat. In the wild, humans don't interact with these creatures. This is no big loss, but a chance endangered species may be left alone. Too bad we can't see the footage of his death...now that would be entertaining. Nature getting it's revenge!

Something about him and his talk was so alluring, even when holding a black mamba he never had fear. I wish I had courage like that.

It's very sad news. It seems so unreal, though, like some SNL sketch. It's such a strange way to die, but at least he was doing what he loved to do.
