Survivor 20: Heroes Vs. Villains [Official Thread]

I'm not sure Sugar is as big of a goat as she thought. She clearly stopped caring at the end of Gabon because the Onions were never going to vote for her, but if it was a final two (which meant Marcus wouldn't make the jury at all) and she actually pleaded her case against Bob, I could see her squeezing out a victory with votes from Massive Crystal, Ken, Susie and Matty. Especially when Bob's opening statement was one as bad as "I did not outwit, outplay or outlast any of you."

There is no question in my mind that Sugar would have won in that scenario (especially since Crystal, Ken and Matty had no problem voting for Susie). Meanwhile, there's almost no scenario in which Amanda could win, given her track record of terrible TC performances.

Amanda definitely has a chance to win, we have to keep in mind that her season didn't finish airing when she filmed Micronesia and she thought she won China, so she figured she would stick to what she did last time. She has acknowledged her mistakes and if she made it to the end again, I highly doubt she would do what she did in Mirco and China.

this show as used up all of its tricks time to go off the air with some class

yeah, i stopppeed watchign in season 5...it gets tiresome. and didn't they have the all star already way back? isn't it like heeroes vs villains almost? with jerri and all...

It's happened before. In Samoa they merged at 12 and that's when the jury started. In Cook Islands they started the jury before the merge, which meant that early jury members were never even on the same tribe as one of Ozzy, Yul or Becky. This time they'll merge at 10 even though they started the jury at 12 because they're going to have another final three. It seems impossible to tell when they're going to merge, when they'll start the jury and whether they'll have a F2 or a F3 these days.

If I had to guess, the jury was always going to start at 12 but they delayed the merge because the Heroes were so far behind in numbers.

I wonder how many takes it took to film the (staged) conversation between Russell and Colby. I hope CBS isn't stupid to realize that the die-hard fans are on to the "coincidences".

I don't quite agree. What was a coincidence about Colby and Russell's encounter? Colby is as dumb as a bag of hammers, so his little conversation with Russell is on par for him. I think some here are a bit too overly suspicious. While I do agree producers and Jeff may tug at some strings, I don't think these type of situations are staged or scripted. I've been watching Survivor since day 1 and nothing has been any more staged than the likes of the classic rat and snake speech by Susan in the Season 1 finale.

Oh my god Parvati is AMAZING! I am now fully rooting for her to win. I love how she read dumb Amanda like a book and figured out that they were going to target someone on the periphery of the Villain Tribe. I don't know if I would have given away both idols myself, but damn if it didn't work out for her!

Another great episode, this season is shaping up to be one of my favorites. I'm glad this show is getting back on track from the mess that was Samoa and the snoozefest that was Tocantins.

Even though I love Boston Rawb, the season has become leaps and bounds better now that the only storyline among the Villains isn't some forced rivalry between him and the troll. Parvati and Sandra are easily the MVPs of the season right now.

And that's why I'm so glad that they'll be the winner and the runner-up, with Russell apparently getting zero votes in the final three!

JT is the obvious choice for this season's Survivor Darwin award. I still don't like Russell. But I don't like amazingly stupid people either, so I'm glad JT is gone. Finally Rupert wised up, although he didn't try very hard to try to convince others; he sorta just sat back and watched his tribe become a minority.

The fact that Rupert was more perceptive than JT convinces me even more than Stephen was the strategic muscle in the JT/Stephen alliance on Tocantins. I mean, Rupert is a fucking IDIOT and even he knew Russell shouldn't be trusted 100%.

Parvati has not only firmly secured Danielle in her corner (even against Russell), but now she has an emotional hold over Sandra and Jerri as well, both of whom are now in her debt (and certainly Sandra would rather vote out Russell than Parvati). I love it too how Parvati was just like "Tee hee, it was my little secret" when Russell shot her that "Where the fuck did that second idol come from?" look. The fact that Parvati didn't bother giving him a heads up before TC -- and the fact that she is so totally unconcerned about how angry he might be next week -- proves that she clearly doesn't think much of him and doesn't see him as a big threat. Which is AWESOME! It gives me hope that the editors are at least undermining the Russell is King narrative.

Courtney calling Russell a little troll on the jury was my favorite moment. I hope she becomes an Eliza type juror.

I really don't think that J.T.'s assumption of an all-women's alliance is "sexist."

After being voted out tonight, JT said, "Never trust a villain, and worse than that, never trust women."

Spoken like a true sexist redneck.

Prediction for next week: don't get excited about Sandra seemingly targeting Russell. Even if she does and sides with the Heroes, Russell will either win Immunity or they'll re-plant the idol and he'll of course just happen to trip over it.

By the way, anyone else think it's strange that Russell was so on top of hunting for idols (even without clues) last season, yet this season he didn't even bother to look for it after he played the idol the first time (you'd think he'd realize it would be re-planted, since he operated under that assumption last season) and therefore didn't suspect that Parvati had it? The inconsistency in his thinking is yet another thing that makes this show seem rigged. I bet you anything he'll suddenly think to go looking for it next week and of course it won't be buried this time, so he'll find it.

AMAZING !!!!

WOW

That's all I could say when I was watching last TC.
I've never ever ever been a fan of Parvati, but damn, she just made a fan out of me.

That move was brilliant, and unexpected, I've never wowed that much wacthing this show.

I do think sandra is going to go pretty soon, but still her + Parvati are just great players.

And yeah... I dont like to say that but parvati could easily be the Best player ever in this game

I can just imagine the reunion this year if one of Parvati or Sandra wins the game. Probst will probably give a brief mention about how she's the first person to ever win Survivor twice, and then he'll spend the next 50 minutes masturbating to Russell, Rupert, J.T. and Colby.

Like what was that bullshit with him calling out Candice for stepping down in the immunity challenge last night? God forbid that was a strategic choice and she was trying to be UTR about it. Quitting isn't manly enough (even though she outlasted all of his alpha male boyfriends)!

Insider clips and post show interviews especially Courtney's all pretty much confirm that he has been spending most of his time searching for idols, just because we don't see it doesn't mean he's not looking, apparently he has been searching since day 1.

I agree that the previews for next week are most likely misleading, I think Sandra will stick with the Villains. She has nothing to gain by switching, the Heroes wanted her out and never approached her to flip even after she gave them vital information. Sandra hates Russell but she is smart she is in the majority right now and she won't screw it up by flipping and pissing off the entire villains tribe.
