Survivor 20: Heroes Vs. Villains [Official Thread]

Another great would-be F2 scenario would be Susie vs. Sugar in Gabon. You just KNOW that Corinne would be choking on her own venom in that situation.

Also, were you following what was happening at the jury house? All those people HATED Natalie once they got to the jury, including Jessie.

Just saw this post! I shall concede, as I really didn't remember the sequester house reactions that well.

^^ Yeah that would have been another good one because I had so much fun watching Gabon once the Kenny/Crystal alliance started kicking Marcus/Charlie/Corrinne's snooty asses, and I absolutely HATED that we ended up with a boring winner like Bob (which just made those three losers feel like they "won" by default).

Like it matters what the marketing campaign for CBS came up with as a tagline. The rules are the rules and they're very clear. It asks players to do an extremely difficult thing, gain the favor of a group of people who were once your enemies. Russel clearly can not do that. It's like saying I'm the best at baseball I just can't hit the ball... well you need to in order to win the game so it doesn't matter at all how good you are at one thing if you suck balls at the most crucial element.

Why are you guys egging Russell on?

Slipintothefog, do you follow the live feeds for Big Brother as well? I hope we all get to enjoy BB12 together (and the live feeds are crucial for that show).

I might this season if somebody can hook me up with a free link for them. I followed the updates posted in the BB threads on this forum for past years but I've never had the feeds myself. I did watch BB After Dark toward the end of last season too, after Michele had been evicted, and Kevin and Jordan were always fun until Natalie the rain cloud came around.

I am also anxiously looking forward to Chenbot's first "But first!" I really hope those are her child's first words.

Also I decided to go and check Sandra's Facebook page and somebody had posted this interview with her...

LOVE IT.

how can some people pretend that russel is the greatest player ??

He knows how to get to the end thats bout it. A great player knows how to win. Survivor is a game, just like Monopoly, Poker, Clue...

When you play a game you play to win, you dont play to be the runner up, at least thats not how I play games.

The fact that Russell is a runner up everytime means one thing: He lost, he never won this game. And when you loose a game 2 times in a row, your not the best player ever...

Actually he isn't even the runner up because he came in third.

I am getting bored with what's on tv, so I am renting the 1st season of Survivor. Been so long since Survivor started, that I can barely remember Richard Hatch and the cast. Should be fun!

Jerri probably would get Coach's vote AND all of the Heroes votes like Sandra did, which would be enough to give her the win. Parv would still get Danielle and she could have picked up Sandra and Courtney as well. Russell would still get zero. So really, Jerri was only one hand grab away from a million dollars in that last immunity challenge.
There is absolutely no way Rupert would have voted for Jerri. They hate eachother. That would make Colby the deciding factor, which if he and Jerri are on good terms, she would win.

Rupert is nearly as delusional and entitled as Russell is, blathering on about how the good guys should win and blah blah blah. He'd vote for whoever was perceived as more heroic between Jerri and Parvati. Jerri played an under the radar floating game, while Parvati had a more obvious alliance with the bad guy and got more blood on her own hands, so I could see Rupert voting for Jerri despite their issues. I don't have any doubts that Colby would have voted for Jerri if she made the F3, even in their voting confessionals they were talking about how nice it was to play with each other again.

And why should the rules change? This is Survivor, not America's Survivor.

This show has went strong for 20 seasons throughout 10 years, and still is huge in the ratings. That is proof that fans are content with Survivor's rules as they are.

For the James fans:

James Clement — a contestant on CBS' SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS — will make his daytime debut on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! In the episode airing Friday, June 4, Clement will play a police officer in scenes with Greg Rikaart (Kevin), Peter Bergman (Jack), Eric Braeden (Victor) and Joshua Morrow (Nick). Clement, a gravedigger, previously competed on SURVIVOR: CHINA and SURVIVOR MICRONESIA: FANS VS. FAVORITES.

James the beast in HD!

Russell would never win any Survivor challenge as long as the rules never change. Against the present rules, he has no chance whatsoever!

Much like I'll never win a gold medal in figure skating as long as the rules never change. Ridiculous huh because I'm the best figure skater ever, not because I've accomplished anything related to it but just because I say it alot.

Oh, so somebody here is saying that Survivor needs to change the rules to fit Russell's strategy? Ok, whatever. And Russell's strategy is not particularly clever, it's just the easy way to make it to the final vote, as Rupert pointed out. Just make false alliances with everyone else, talk to them like dirt, and act like you are God of Survivor, and everyone will easily want to take you to the final vote with them. Will the others on the jury want to hand you the prize money? Fuck no. Some have said Russell is the best player ever. I think he may just be one of the most stupid, unless he intentionally played to get to finals only to lose.

Russell is the new Amanda.

The queen is dead, long live the queen.

I hope so. Hatch is about a million times more charismatic than Russell and a much better player.

I find very few men on Survivor to be both entertaining and good players. Richard is on my short list despite his real-life issues, as he was hilarious on ASS and the only one with his mind in the game in Borneo. I think Coach is entertaining to an extent (though certainly not to the same degree that the producers do) but not a good player. Boston Rob and Penner were entertaining but not as good as they probably thought they are. Tom W. is an okay mix of both, but I liked his HvV edit much more because he wasn't the golden man who steamrolled to the end. Yul and Earl are good players and classy men but neither was super entertaining. Russell is neither.

Wow. Are we the same person? I agree with this assessment completely.

I wouldn't rule out seeing Russell out of Survivor. And it might happen sooner than we think ](*,)
