Amanda is TERRIBLE in front of a jury. Twice she committed the mistake that has sunk so many contestants on Survivor and Big Brother i.e. she claimed the moral high ground and juries HATE that. No one wants to hear that you think you're "better" than they are, you know? Juries would much rather you own up to having lied to get your way to the end, and use it to build a confident profile. Mick this season, Memphis on Big Brother 10, and so many others, failed to get even one vote because of their insistence on presenting themselves as a moral player instead of a strong player.

If I ever got on Survivor, I would take Amanda as my "necessary item" and drag her to the end, because that bitch can't win with a jury.

I don't read spoilers but maybe the third time will be the charm for Amanda.

^^ I honestly don't think she has it in her to persuade a jury. She's a nice girl but seems a little cliquish, and not that intelligent. Eliza said as much when she basically called Amanda dumb and superficial and if that's true, it probably hurts her ability to bond with as many people as possible, which is a necessary component to securing jury votes. I like her well enough -- I certainly preferred Amanda to Todd! -- but I also think she's very overrated.

Thanks to Aratron for the heads up but I'm not holding breath either knowing how the networks love hype but most times they disappoint in these cases (where you think you're getting something "special").

The cast pre-show videos are up on CBS.com now. For some reason, there's no video for Sandra (BOO!) nor Russell (who cares?). I flipped through most of the people who interested me and I'm excited.

Based on their videos, I love that Jerri is going to be back in full bitch mode after her All-Star performance. Amanda acknowledged that her Micronesia jury performance was because she thought she was going to win China. Candice acknowledges that most people probably won't know who she is. Cirie is as lovable as ever. Danielle still looks like a horse. Tyson is still a cocky douche. Coach is still a delusional one.

Survivor takes 2 months off between the season that ends in Dec and the one that starts in Feb. After May, there isn't a new season until Sept (3 months off). The Biggest Loser on the other hand is always fucking on. Lol

I'm kinda glad with the official (and rumored) cast. I think we're going to have an interesting season. They all come back with strategies, and with the ultimate desire to win this game.

I don't understand Danielle in the villain role, that perplexes me more so than Sandra being on the villains tribe. And Probst's reasoning for Danielle being a villain was ridiculous, he basically said she was a villain because she was responsible for Terry losing the million dollars. That makes her a hero in my eyes because I hated Terry.

I'm mostly excited about the women they've asked back. All of the hero males make me want to gag and half of the villain males are delusional camera hogs, though I can't wait to see them all getting into fights with each other and women like Sandra/Courtney/Jerri. The only guy I'm happy to see back as a player is Rob.

I so wish they could have gotten Richard on this season, especially when they were grasping at straws to the extent that they invited Tyson back.

I really hope that for H vs. V that it won't be 4 seasons in a row where after the merge, the dominant tribe slits their own throats. Frustrating to watch especially when there isn't a method to their madness.
