Survivor 20: Heroes Vs. Villains [Official Thread]

He's always been. Remember him and JP in China and how they pissed off Court by being sexist?
No i meant it was surprising to see that such an uber masculine cavemen like him would have his tongue pierced. Because as Chris Rock would say "If a guy has pierced tongue, he'll probably suck your...". Maybe Jeff Probst wet dreams will finally come true.

I like this season so far but I really thought that the Villains tribe was going to be a glorious trainwreck with Sandra and Courtney fighting with Russell and Coach, Jerri being a super bitch and Boston Rob still acting like the Robfather. Instead, Coach is actually tolerable due to his alliance with Jerri, Sandra is buddies with Boston Rob (<3) and the Heroes are more dysfunctional than the villains. Is this bizarro world?

I know... I couldn't stand Rob in Marquesas and All Stars and I'm actually liking him so far !oops! (what is happening to me?). Same with Coach.

^^ Same here the villains seem to be edited as heroes (Rob, Coach, Jerri) and the heroes seem to edited as villains (JT, Rupert, James).

yeah I do think they are trying to show us that good is bad and bad is good.

So far I m liking the villains better than the heroes and their stupid choices. I liked sugar, steph, JT and Tom... i m not sure anymore..

And same for me. I kinda like coach and jerrie (and I really didnt like em). I find B.R entertaining. Courtney is pretty fun, and russell is hilarious...

This episode was interesting, all the Parvati comments were showing just how much of a threat she is, but yet she doesn't get one vote cast against her. It was also interesting how they were portraying her alliance with Russell, it was made to seem like she was controlling him.

Again the cast misses the opportunity to damage the Micronesia alliance, they all know that the alliance is a huge threat especially if they make it to the merge and pull in JT and Russell and possibly Rupert but they slip through every tribal council.

I think I love Parvarti now. I don't know why but it really amused me watching person after person pissing and complaining about how they're not going to do what she wanted them to do and then they all did exactly what she wanted them to do. I also love that she's making Russell look like a damn fool.

I don't know what's going on with my girl that she didn't tell Candace straight up that it was JT who told her. The minute he said that I knew she'd talk to Candace (as he should've because that's how Cirie operates). I don't understand why she played coy and wound up leaving Candace out in the cold looking like a raving lunatic.

The Candice scene confused me, it seemed so random thrown in the episode. I'm assuming it will eventually lead to something bigger, possibly a set up for a Candice boot.

Queen Sandra reigns again. What a badass she was tonight. Calling out Coach and Partwatty at TC like that - and Coach cries over it next week? LOL

Jerri and JT were awesome too.

I almost felt bad for Randy, as he was 100% right about them being stupid and letting Parv slip by at their own peril. Seems like a really dumb move when you have 4 potential allies for her on the other tribe (Micro 3 + Candice). Still, that geezer had the social skills of a badger.

PArvarti didn't defend herself very well against that allegation either. It's easy to do. All she needs to say is 'It doesn't matter if they're my friends I want to win. I'm not going to flip to their side and piss all of you, the potential jury, for no reason. And if we the villains go into a merge down in numbers I can pull them over to our side benefiting the entire villain minority.'

^^ Parvati doesn't have to defend herself with words. Her natural charm works its magic. I started seeing a little of it on Micronesia but DAMN it's in full bloom now. I still don't love her, but I respect people who can walk through life like it's a red carpet, while people on either side genuflect and make it easy for them, and they achieve all of this on sheer charm. It's very impressive.

Nancy Botwin does this all the time on Weeds (it's the secret to her character) and it's obvious Parvati has that quality too.

The Candice scene seemed to be added to reinforce that J.T. is making a heel turn, as the whole "J.T. is becoming villainous" edit is way too forced. On the other hand, I do kind of like Candice's edit so far. She's complex without being too repetitive and it's refreshing after how badly she was edited in Cook Islands for being white and mutinying in the season of racial diversity.

Also, James is a massive asshole. I never liked him so it tickles me that the editors are giving him the OTTN edit. I can't help but like Coach now that Russell is around too. One is delusional in a hilarious way while the other is delusional in an unentertaining, pathetic way. It still baffles me how he thinks that sabotaging his own tribe makes him look like some sort of incredible mastermind. It doesn't; he looks like a dumbass. In the middle of Russell's 529th confessional tonight, I was thinking "You know, there ARE other people on this tribe. Did Courtney have nothing snarky to say on these three days or what?"

I still love how much more balanced this season's screentime is after Samoa. Jerri has been consistently featured in all three episodes which I love. It was great seeing some of the "old" Jerri in her confessionals about Parvati... and, ouch, it is embarrassing that she got totally OWNED by Cirie in the challenge. When she commented that she lived in the worst shelter ever at TC, my face lit up because I recently watched All-Stars and was in total agreement with her on Rupert's hole in the sand.

I was also happy to see Sandra back after she went under the radar in the second episode. She is always entertaining and this was definitely more of the "old" Sandra with her no-nonsense TC responses and her "as long as it isn't me" strategy during the pre-TC scramble. Love her.

Not too bothered that Randy was voted out, confirming the spoilers. However, I'm not happy about next week's rumored boot at all. The same spoilers that were right about Sugar, Steph and Randy claim that...

Tom will find the hidden immunity idol and use it to get Cirie out. AWFUL!!!!

Loved this episode. Loved that moment when Coach thought that he was victorious and walking around like a douche, and Probst kept saying No. No. Coach, No.

I really hope Russell goes home soon, so it knock his ass down to a loser. I am tired of him claiming to be the leader/mastermind of Survivor. That was last season when you had a bunch of idiots. Great move buring the machete (I am being sarcastic).

More reason to love the new Tom: he got to push that asshole Russell right into the mud (with little effort).

I couldn't agree with you more! Unfortunately I think he stands a good chance of lasting a while based on 1) The way they're editing his relationship with Parvati is similar to the early hints at his alliance with Natalie and 2) He's the only person whose season has not been seen by the other cast-members. That gives him a distinct advantage.

The only silver lining I cling to is that he may be underestimating Parvati just as much as he did Natalie. And how hilarious would it be if Russell gets to the end with another "dumb female sidekick" who then kicked his ass with jury votes AGAIN? Notice that Parvati already has his number: "I think he can help me for now...even though he's kind of a lunatic." Well said.

Parv clearly has his number because she's still there. Every week he voted out someone he was aligned with last season but he won't let Parv go. He put himself at great risk really pissing off a number of people and there's no benefit to him from it.

LOL @ Gabon's representatives being voted off unanimously at their respective tribes first tribal councils. Randy is a Pygmy :( he should've lasted longer.

Randys boot doesn't make all that much sense, but then again... Why boot Parv? Winners won't win again unless they go up against winners.

Amanda should've been the first or second to go. But then again, why? Because of the Micronesia alliance? Yes, on paper they are a threat, but it's still early in the game and they could be dismantled. But Amanda was better to keep around than Sugar and Steph. Amanda has shown loyalty to her alliances in her past two seasons. In fact she got to the final with her alliances both times.

Lets take a look at Sugar and Stephenies past games...

Sugar was untrustworthy. She flipped from Kota to Fang after a tribal swap. But the flipping didn't stop there. Sugar flipped from alliance to alliance so much that she ended up in finals with the nice people because she didn't want the bad guys to win.

Stephenie was also untrustworthy. I am going to ignore Palau and look at Guatemala. In Guatemala, the season was pretty much about how Stephenie lost more than how Danni won. What Steph did was basically do what Sugar did and flipped on every alliance she made (except for Rafe).

Not much to say about this episode except : WHAT ARE THEY THINKIN ???

LOL, it's funny to see how "all-stars" still play this game like anyone coming for the first time.

The ALL know parvarti is a threat, ALL. Still she stays. Great Gameplay I'd say

I come to like sandra a lil more. I liked her attitude, her "it grew legs and walked off", and her gameplay/strategy "as long as it aint me"

Coach is so full of himself a PURE drama queen.(Gold moment during the challenge)

I like Jerri and I think candace is next to go.The whole JT is becoming a villain is pretty lame too. And after 3 episodes I can say, I HATE the heroe tribe. Tom & JT being the only ones I hope will get to the merge.

So we have
- Sugar gone
- Stephenie gone
- Randy Gone...
Doenst make much sense for a all-star seson...
;)

SO basically Im still rooting for: JT, Tom, Russell, and Sandra.
I dont mind parvarti, but she's "too much" for me

I wonder if Russell already has found a hidden idol and they purposely haven't shown us to surprise us since we already know what he is capable of. I don't read spoilers, so nobody needs to answer this if they already know for certain. I'm just wondering. Seems unexpected that he hasn't been seen searching for an idol yet.

I'm rooting for Sandra too. She is a chameleon. If your gameplay isn't broken don't fix it. Sandra hasn't fixed a thing she's still the same Sassy Sandra.

I like Courtney too. She is hilarious. I hope Sandra and Courntey get to the end together <3. Imagine them in the final together. I doubt it though. Sandra and Courtney suck at challenges so if their tribes lose challenges they need to watch out.

Well they suck, yes and no

I mean courtney didnt participate in the last 2 challenges, and both of em were very aggressive in the 1st challenge.

The female villains are overall stronger anyway

Paravarti + Danielle + Sandra + courtney + Jerri

Vs

Sugar + Stephenie + Amanda + Cirie + Candace

...

The female villains are overall stronger anyway

Not according to that last challenge, which was all about physical strength. Every single villain got their ass handed to them by a hero.

Mentally though, the villains have the edge. I think Survivor intentionally made that last challenge 100% physical and 0% mental to give the heroes a chance to come back.
