Survivor 21: Nicaragua

I also thought Sash's slip up was classic, and I think that will come into play later in the season. We might see Sash going against the alliance.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm starting to really like Na'Onka ](*,) I think she is starting to play a really good game. She is calming down on her ghetto diva bitch attitude, and is starting to be more of a sneaky bitch (being nice to Alina's face, but willing to vote her out first chance she gets). However, I may be eating my words with next weeks preview...

I still have NO idea why they are continuing to keep Marty around, unless they just like to torture him until they finally give him the boot.

Does anyone else feel that Chase is getting a really good edit to win? He is getting an EXCELLENT edit, is set up perfectly alliance wise, and this episode is the second mention of his father's passing, which gives him some sympathy I think. He is someone we have to watch out for.

As for next week, I can't believe that the merge is happening this early! I thought we would be waiting at least two weeks. I hope some older people, Jane, Holly, can go pretty far, and it's not going to be a completely young dominated ending.

I was kind of sad to see Jill voted off, but not really because of the edit she got on the show. She's been posting on Sucks this week and she actually seems like a pretty cool woman, so it figures that just when I really started to like her, she got voted off. Shouldn't have given Marty that idol, Doc!

Kelly Purple finally got a pity confessional. About the most irrelevant thing ever. I'm sure she'll continue to be edited like this until she's voted off.

I really rolled my eyes when Na'onka accused Alina's tears of being gameplay. Na'onka during her cooldown for the last couple of weeks was actually a bit charming. Looks like this week and next week will lead her back to Hurricane Na'onka obnoxiousness.

Holly is still my favorite. Jane... well, I like her, but I don't think her choosing to cook and eat an entire fish off in the forest made her look very good.

I continue to think Chase has the best chance to win out of the men since he's getting the very sterilized over the top positive winner edit of "I'm a nice country boy! My dad died!" You know, kind of like how Sandra's edit last season was "I hate Russell! My husband is in Afghanistan! Outback Steakhouse!"

Shame that they didn't have Brenda and Sash expand on why they voted out KB last time. I kind of like Sash, but not extremely. Brenda is hot and seems like an okay strategist but I'm starting to realize that she is really... well, BORING. She's an attractive gamebot and not really much more.

Jud continues to look like a huge caricature. Benry continues to be irrelevant outside of challenge dominance. Who's left? Oh... Dan. Yeah, he ain't winning.

Why exactly did they vote out Jill and not Marty? I swear these people make no sense to me.

I'm assuming they actually did want to keep their word to Marty at least for this tribal council, which makes no sense because he wouldn't have been on the jury so would not have to worry about him being bitter.

I'm loving Sash so much right now, what an unexpected mastermind :)

That slip could've cost him but he prevailed, fucking Probst sure loves stirring shit at TC.

I couldn't say why other than Sash didn't want to bloody his conscience, or perhaps they thought Jill was the better player. With the merge coming I think Sash will be everyone's target because he has the idol, and perhaps they will play him like he and Brenda tried to play Marty hoping he would use the idol. I hope they do because I just don't like Sash, and it has to do more with his personality than his play.

I wouldn't call Sash a mastermind. That deliberation between him and Brenda over who to vote out shows they're both leading the pack and if anything, Brenda seems to be running shit more. Once the merge comes, she'll have Naonka and Chase more loyal to her than they are to each other or anyone else in the alliance.

I am developing a crush on Benry. He is looking cuter with each episode.

Next week should be very interesting. Let's see if the younger tribe will stick together and get the older tribe out first. But I can't see anyone really wanting to waste a vote on Dan(? - the older one with bad knees) since he will be easy to get out.

Sash is wayyyy too cocky for me !!!!

I much prefer Brenda over him !!!

Sash thinks he's so smart, but Marty backed himself into a corner and Sash just happened to be there to claim the idol from him by luck. Sash ain't all that.

If anything Brenda seems to be a little more wary of what's going on and perceptive to her surrounding castaways. I'm cheering for her.

I think Jud is adorable and Chase is such a stud. Those abs. <3

Team Brenda.

Don't mind wrestling lover... he really is a huge Sash fanboy and he's showing love for his man, lol.

Sash seems to be one of the least popular people on this season. I dunno, he doesn't really bother me. Nobody left right now really does except Na'onka sometimes.

Benry is a cutie. Why does he get like no screen time?
My theory is that if an obviously attractive man/woman are not getting screen time, it is because the editors need to give screen time to those going soon.
Thererfore no screen time often idicates longevity. especially at this point in the game.
So I bet you will see more of Benry later, and if in spades, beware! He might be voted off.
Just my theory, but the more I watch the game, the more I think it is a valid theory.

BTW Marty is a DILF! Very nice bod and cute face, although the eyes can get a little scary with he gets mad and they bulge so big. LOL. But, I can' t keep my eyes off of him!

I'm not a farmer....but can someone explain why they didn't eat the rooster. There is no purpose to keeping him around. If he fertilizes an egg it would take about 21 days to hatch if they were planning on raising baby chicks...so that is a mute point. The egg laying hens lay eggs almost daily sometimes more than 1 a day. The un-fertilized egg is what we cook. So why kill one of the egg laying hens instead of the rooster? Am I just stupid here?
Ryan, I'm no expert either, but I'm pretty sure that you are correct, and their strategy of killing the hen instead of the Rooster was very stupid. (!)I was watching and thinking the same exact thing.
Anyone else?

My theory is that if an obviously attractive man/woman are not getting screen time, it is because the editors need to give screen time to those going soon.

In the case of Benry and Kelly Purple, I really think that they're not saying anything that the editors find interesting enough to include in the episode. I mean, we all saw Kelly Purple's first confessional after six episodes of nothing: "MILK YOUR OWN MILK!" It was like they jammed that confessional in there as if to say "Yeah... this is why we aren't showing this girl."

I thought the same thing about Benry when he got his first screentime in the swap episode. I was like "Wow, Benry is talking! ... Damn, he's really boring, no wonder they've ignored him." Most of Benry's screentime so far has been the show highlighting him in challenges. And I expect Benry and Kelly S. not to amount to anything on this show until their boot episodes, when suddenly they'll get the most focus they've received all season.

I do think Benry is the most attractive younger guy though. However as my tastes generally gravitate more toward older guys, Marty is the #1 hot guy for me this season.

The purpose of the rooster in any chicken flock is to:

A) Protect the flock.

B) Fertilize the eggs and continue his genes.

Plus roosters are a very tough bird to cook and eat.

Sigh... I was managing to avoid spoilers so well this season and then I logged onto Sucks and BAM the spoiled final three was a topic title in the Speculation forum because trolls think they are hilariously cool or something. :/

Based on the spoiled F3 and the editing up to this point, I'm going to hazard the guess that our winner will be
Chase, who was one of my top three picks based on the editing before seeing the spoilers, and is in the F3.

Ugh. I hope the F3 I saw at Sucks ISN'T the actual F3. Except for the part where my early predicted winner at least ends up in the F3.

I have wondered who gets the elimination lists and why Survivor is not more secretive about their shows. It obviously has to be someone who either edits or who works with/for the producers. I didn't want to know who the f3 were and by accident read them on Sucks. I am not disappointed who they are. But this person literally lists the eliminations in order and also some of the convos at TC .

Sometimes spoilers are entire lists with exact boot orders, which was the case last season. Other times they're more general things like "Shambo lost a lot of weight, so she'll go far" or "Na'onka makes the jury" (sidenote: that's not a spoiler because the jury starts next episode :P). I suppose it doesn't help prevent spoiling when pre-jury boots are kept in Loser Lodge until, I think, the merge and then they're all sent home at once?

Either way, this season's spoilers are pretty general. There's a supposed final three, and a couple of other tidbits like "last older man standing" and "six older people voted out before the merge" (which did happen) and whatnot, but I don't think there's an exact order and nobody is positive about which of the final three wins.
