Survivor 22: Redemption Island

Matt losing the game AND the Rupert Prize warmed the cockles of my heart.

Also, Ralph is the cheapest of cheap dates.

Both Matt and Andrea returned to the game because of Redemption Island, and both were immediately voted right back out. You'd think that would indicate to the producers that the Redemption Island twist was a bust. :rolleyes:

Yea but you know how Survivor producers are. They were prolly so busy jizzing themselves about their "brilliant" Redemption Island concept, thatthey started production on 2 seasons of it before they saw how practical it was.
 
They haven't started filming South Pacific (most generic Survivor subtitle EVER) yet, but yeah I agree. They'll probably do S23 and then pretend that Redemption Island never existed when they do another All Stars for S24 or something. Kind of like CI/Fiji's affirmative action casting that stuck around for exactly two seasons.

I think I might rewatch Borneo this summer to wash the taste of this season out of my mouth.

Speaking of affirmative action, I sincerely hope they do a Gay Males vs. Lesbians vs. Straight Guy vs. Straight Girls season like Cook Islands.

They could also do an Urban Survivor. Throw them on the streets of Manhattan with no money and they build a shelter out of cardboard and the million dollars goes to homeless shelters.

Since Russell is going to come back there will be another season I will miss unless there is a spoiler that he is voted out early and scratches and claws the dirt crying like a newborn.
 
Sure Rob won, but how many contestants get 6 tries for a million dollars (don't forget the 2 Amazing Race seasons)???

As long as Philip and Coach aren't the returning players, I'm ok with it. Matt and Andrea seem logical, just boring.
Any other thoughts?

I forgot about TAR. I wonder how much income combined he and Amber have won on reality shows. Probably pushing 3 mill before taxes. Nice.

They have Amber's million, Rob's million and Rob's 100k for fan fave. Apparently doing the reunion shows gets each person an extra 10k, so that's $60k more for Rob's four reunions and Amber's two. Plus whatever money CBS probably threw at Rob to do Redemption Island again.

Is Amazing Race's prize a million? Tried looking that up and didn't see anything about its prize. I can't imagine that TAR would have an equal pay day to Survivor since the latter is much more physically and mentally taxing. Hell, even equaling BB's 500k payout would be a stretch for TAR, IMO, since TAR films for three weeks rather than three months like BB does.

i hate this season, it was no fun at all.

My bad. I was referring to how sensitive Grant was (that in viewing the show at home, he was "hurt" because Rob was playing him). He doesn't get the fact that Rob did genuinely like him and would like to be buds but is a business trip, first and foremost. Grant doesn't get that.

The prize money for the winning couple of TAR is a mill. Survivor is far more taxing (and they can eat and sleep on beds in TAR). That being said, the race has its own share of frustrating, exhausting and exasperating tasks (language barrier!).

Add their money from Oz, Marquesas and Heroes vs. Villains...Go Team Mariano. Well done. ..|
 
The question is: which reality show/s in the future will Rob and Amber's kids be appearing on? Not counting Survivor Season 98 of course.
